It's Official

Did you wonder where I went? Yeah I know. . . ya didn't. . . =P lol jp
No, I've been packing all day, and that's how it's going to be up until the move and after the move.

So for the ones that don't think highly of me, well you won't be seeing much of me. =) Enjoy it? Idk, I don't see what's not to like about me, but maybe that's just bias.
[please don't reply to this, just making a joke, I'm not giving anyone the open door to flame me.]

But, it's official; my dad confirmed today that we're moving back to Colorado.
I'm really excited! My own apartment! My own place all to myself! No supervision!
I actually have mixed feelings though, I kinda liked living under my parent's roof.
Now that I have my own place, I'm going to have some responsibilities. =/
Oh well. . . I'm going to have my girlfriend over 24/7 before she leaves for college.
But that won't be the reason why you all won't hear from me for awhile, it'll be because I don't know how long it'll be before I get internet set up in my place. Dad says he's going to make sure I have a permanent internet, none of the wireless stuff. So I'm excited for that. No more At&t failures or WEP neighbors. Shhh. But yeah, just me in my own place and dad coming down on the weekends to visit me, restock the fridge and anything else I need for the next week. He'll have his own place up in the mountains, and I just go up there when snowfall drops and go boarding. This is a huge step. I hope it all goes well and I don't have a robber break into my place or anything.

So, to make this a discussion topic, not that I didn't know how I was going to incorporate that into all this or anything, but yeah. . .
Anyone have advice about moving into your own place? I know most of you still live with your parents because you're younger, but
perhaps some of the older members. Anything tips you have for me? Anyone want to come visit me, and party? Haha, I know Ranging God and Davo are already on this list.

Lol, nooooooooooo. That's a big no for me. I don't do guns, guns to me are a one time deal. You only get one chance, and I don't want to be God and be put in the position of whether or not I should take someone's life.

Lol give me a bat, and I'll beat the robber to the point right before death, I'll be fine with that. =)
Plus, if my girlfriend ever turns psycho or any of my ex's do. . . I don't want to give them an advantage when they break into my house and wait for me to come home. =/

Well, I'm 18 (almost 19) and I'm still at my mum's and i'll still be here until i go to uni in a few years time. The only advice i can give you is to learn how to budget your money before you need to :$

Good luck on your move, you have friends in CO right? My advice would be to have them over a lot, until you feel more comfortable. Also TV = YOUR FREIND!!! lol. It will always be there for you when your by yourself lol.

I know how you feel kinda, I am moving on my own in less than a year.
I will miss you on the forums, oh and if ya get lonesome text meh =-D
and You me and Davo are going to paty it up at your apartment =-D

you dont want to play god with someones life, but you'll let them play god with yours?
and you dont have to worry about someone useing it on you when you get home, if you buy a gun safe and bolt it to the wall

she did nothing to him, if she had a gun, she could have shot and stoped or killed him.
if he had been killed its his own fault for trying to steal from her, so he is playing god with his own life by putting him self in that spot. but now theres some kids without a mom.
and a home robbery is just the same...

remember just because its not on the news doesnt mean it doesnt happen.

Ive lived on my own for weeks at a time when my dad leaves for business trips. Its nice for a few days but then i have to cook for myself and clean. I dont mind it but food dosnt taste the same when you have to cook it yourself. Its nice being on your own, not having to wear clothes around the house, the ability to drink without worrying my dad would come home. But like Anubis said, budget your money. I have a steady paycheck but when your paying for everything it gets hard to splurge.
