Let's be honest Jason. Jagex are a games company. The major reason why RuneScape wasn't more successful in the past was because of it's poor graphics. Hundreds of WoW fanboys say so. Therefore it's only logical that Jagex attempt to change this perception and improve their graphics. They're not going to wait around for anyone who's too stubborn to upgrade their computer every three years.

It is a little slow, but it looks great! Except the new people...

I can't play it yet, since it's members only. But after the beta launch, I will see if there is a lot of lag, and if there isn't, then I'm going to be there a lot.

I give a 4 becuase of the awful lag or else i would have to give a 5.

I can't believe people are complaining about lag. There are 1m active members according to Jagex all trying to download this new game code. Jagex don't have any servers that are designed to upload that amount of data. Lag will be away when most of the people have the new game code downloaded. And if you still experience lag it's either your internet connection or a slow computer.

I give the update a 5/5. The graphic look like and I haven;t had much lag at all.

We all know that Jagex releases updates before they're ready, so this time instead of saying they released it, they just used the term "beta" to get away with all the bugs. And the lag is basically gone for me.

i still get lagg but its only coz of net and a massive amount of ppl playing 190k? at wednesday? well you won't see that often

Exactly the point I was trying to make. Jagex are suffering from complaints about lag, when they probably have a few dozen thousand more people playing to test it out, and they are filling up the servers. It's not your fault, and they cant just make all their servers better for a few days.

I'm sure most complaints about "lag" are from people without GPUs (or for some reason theirs isn't supported)

I'm on a GeForce 8600GT and am not experiencing any significant lag. It's still that same old half-second delay.

Absolutely brilliant, well worth the wait! I love walking around in full screen now, not to mention everything looks 10x better, including the site. I also like how the world map opens in the game window now.

unending lag is gone now if someone lags it's only coz of theyre pcs or net problems like me net disapeared at all yesterday and now i got no lag. Well i tottaly like new update now i just got highhopes hd won't be only mode after beta since that would make me quit as me pc is piece of junk... also fires now look wow then i lit up me first one i was like wtf that looks hawt!

As you two said on the Update, I really like the graphics, but still, a lot of changes need to be made (hopefully they'll stay the same... Wtf??).
