☃ <--- I keep seeing that for a lot of things. What should I do. Firefox 3.0 is my browser.

A perfect example would be this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=68556

Where everyone claims to see a snowman? I just get this ☃.

It's most likely that you don't have the extra character sets installed just a bare bones windows.

Oh and Kyle, Firefox 3 is out of Beta, has been for a long time. The last ones were release candidates, 3.0 final was released on the 17th. I find 3.0 to be better than 2.0 ever was. Mostly for speed and UI integration.

How do I obtain these extra character sets?

I'm with Shane on this one. I go to many Chinese sites on English-based computers. Sometimes characters don't show on Internet Explorer because the character support aren't installed but for FF3 and Opera, you should be able to see these special characters since they come with full support.

Conclusion?: So...I should reinstall FF3?

I don't have IE, so I'm not using a browser that doesn't have extra characters.
I don't browse Chinese websites. . . so I don't even know if I have that problem.
Spoiler for the truth:

Lol tbh, that post didn't help me at all.

I guess I'll reinstall FF3 and see how everything goes.

I had firefox 3 and it showed up as the box thing to. I went back to FF2 and then I saw the snowman. It has something to do with FF3.
