Hey, Gang!

The title covers the initial goal of this thread. Keep in mind that:

While being the heart of some forums, debates can be the Holy Trinity of Online Community Atmosphere Wreckers on others. Comments can get touchy, so remember to talk about the topic, not the users. If another individual has posed an opinion that you do not agree with, make sure your post refers to the opinion, and not the member who posted it. ;)

Input. brought to you by the gbunny factory.

I was originally praying for Edwards - he does seem to be the most liberal of the bunch. Much to my disappointment, electability seemed to be an issue with him since the race was initiated. On the other hand, electability is an issue with most of them.

Obama is now at the top of my list, although even with a great, innovative president, there isn't much hope for America - looks like we'll be fighting useless wars for quite a while longer. Eisenhower spoke of the military industrial complex, I only wish more of us heeded his warning.

I'm not much into politics, but I like Obama. You're right, I believe any new president we have won't fix everything. :(

Personally I like McCain. Obama is to inexperienced, as charismatic as he may be. Hillary? Never. Too dramatic, and she hates video games :P. McCain is very experienced, his age is apparently no issue since he is in excellent health, and he's a war vet. We need someone who is experienced in war in at least some way, Obama and Hillary just don't have that experience.

I have to agree though, one new president won't fix all of our problems. If all our problems are gonna be fixed, it's gonna take decades, in my opinion.

It's funny, if you disagree with wanting any one of the candidates elected for president you could be accused of age, race, and gender discrimination. I don't think it matters what age John McCain is. He seems a competent and well-spoken man and I'd not be terribly unhappy to see either him or Obama become president.

I say Obama.

I want to see someone willing to change some things.
