MY WEBSITE....... HELP!

Ok. So I have a Freewebs with my blog and other stuff on it.(marcosblog.webs.com) Now, I would like to code it myself,(I don;t really know how) but it is coded on HTML. This is the message I get if I want to code it myself:

Anyone know how hard HTML is to learn over the internet?

HTML is fairly easy to learn but you wont really make a decent webpage with HTML on it's own. Although i don't know if freewebs supports anything else.

XHTML and CSS are a must to know to create effective web page.

Freewebs does support HTML and CSS, and I agree with Mikhail in that these are the two languages you need to create a nice looking website. HTML on its own will probably not get you anywhere, but as soon as you combine that with CSS, you can create some pretty awesome stuff.

HTML is quite easy to learn, and CSS is very easy if you use a good program like Dreamweaver, which fills in all the attributes and things for you. Despite this, both languages can take a lot of time to grasp, whether you know every single HTML tag or CSS property by heart or not. If you plan on learning either of the two languages, the earlier you start, the better.

HTML is fairly easy to learn. It should be sufficient just for posting your blog entries. And it will be a great intro into coding for you. I would say the best place to learn html on the web is this place: http://www.w3schools.com

I learnt at w3schools.com for a while, but it's kinda basic and I moved onto bigger stuff quicker than I imagined.

HTML is pretty easy to learn. It's a lot like BBcode, except with <> instead of [], and some extras. But really, you'll want to learn other languages to, like CSS and Javascript. And then there is PHP, but Freewebs doesn't support that.

Yeah, I'll agree with the posts above, Learn the basics and move on...I ve learnt XHTML and Basic CSS, and Now Learning PERL, C, and will begin with Assembly if I ever feel like it.
