power leveling illegal?

Does this include power mining too? Hmmm, I don't remember power leveling being illegal.

i've yet to see anything that says that power training any skill is against the rules of the game or anything else of that nature. however quite a few players tend to try and power train their skills in ways that are against some of the rules,

examples: afk training combat skills in places that monsters are always aggressive towards players, setting books (or other objects) to weigh down keys to stay logged in while they're away, macro programs, etc.

however as far as the rules go as long as your physically controlling the input of commands to your character you can do anything you'd like to train your stats up as fast as the game's systems allow you to.

Yeah, you've said it all. Power-levelling is only illegal whenever it's abusing or taking advantage of either an in-game bu or a macro. If it has been reported and never corrected by Jagex, then it's not a bug. So for the most part, anything goes.

Power mining is not illegal. You aren't getting outside help doing the actual mining and if you want to throw an item away thats your choice.

I don't see what is wrong with power mining, its not like there is any gain for you except the xp... I am sure this is not illegel

PS: If you are thinking of doing this then I would do is get a friend to come along and pick up the ores so that one of you gets some money...

Powering-leveling is only illegal when there's a 3rd Party Program being used.

You can Power-level stats as long as your not using a program that auto levels you.

Jagex now has auto-detection things that will detect if you use this stuff, so no worries if someone thinks your Power-leveling with a 3rd party program when you're really not.

Power mining is a form of power leveling where you use a method that trains the skill the fastest, without care of loosing money/profit. This is fully allowed.

The power leveling that is illegal is paying real life money to a company to level your character to a certain level. Not only will your account be permanently banned if caught, but it is also dangerous as you cannot trust most of the sites that offer it (you give them your username and password, they can steal the account. You give them credit card information, they can steal it too).
