What do you want to be when you grow up?

I really don't see how you guys can know what you want to be. I know I've wanted to be all sorts of things and recently I've switched from games designer to judge to forensic psychologist. Genetics has come up at various points and that sounds really interesting to so yeah.. i think a lot of you haven't really tried what you say you want to do and you're likely to be dissapointed. I know I was with games design. It's one thing imagining what it's like to do a certain job and another to actually do it.

Well, I guess we( or I, :roll:

) have thought it through. Some jobs are similar to what you think it is. But, you do have a point there.

found that out myself with music, thought at the start of the year i really want a career in music. but after doing a course on it for a year its made me realise i really dont, but i wanna keep it as a hobby on the side, playng gigs every now n then for fun.

i dont wanna try and make a living off music, because id rather get like £25k salary starting out of something and keep the extra money on the side.

Dunno really, I'm interested in building architecture.

I know I'm interested in it a bit, but I don't know if it's an empty desire to have it as a career. It's one thing I've been interested in the most for years now, though.

I know I will follow my step fathers constant advice: don't become interested in car mechanics. Not that I ever was, anyways. XD

I'm a web applications developer and I'll probably always be one. Its what I do in my free time so I'm really glad someone is willing to pay me to do it.

Not necessarily, if I had an interest in it.

But the costumers are idiots, and I don't want to move around things that heavy everyday. XD

I'd like to be some sort of programmer, most likely a video game programmer along with some piano and literature degree on the side.

I find it (coincidental?) strange that most people here want to be a programmer. I also would like to be involved with law.
