Retire the **** thing, what's the big deal? I'm not suggesting that it won't be any sort of hassle for anyone, but people - this OS has been on the market for over 6 years now. Tough if your wonderful computer from back then can't make an upgrade. Move ahead. Vista is the future, no matter how long you want ol' XP to stay around.

I've been on vista for, what, 8 months now? I've had a few problems, but nothing too detrimental. I am planning on reinstalling everything this summer, but when you look around at the Windows OS, that's just what people do. I'm reinstalling Vista Business, not thinking once of going to XP. There aren't a ton of reasons I'm doing this just yet, but for one I'll have some gaming problems. Plus, I don't know how many less issues I'd have with another operating system. I've had problems on XP, 2000, 98, 95..Nothing new there. If none of your software / hardware works on Vista, it's probably time for an upgrade anyway. I have only found ONE thing since I installed Vista that has caused terrible problems, and that was a single instance with a bad driver. Nothing else I've had trouble with can be pinpointed to anything that is specifically related to Vista.

In short, if you don't want to upgrade - don't. If you're going to move ahead in technology, upgrade. Sooner or later, no matter how many people sign the petition, they will either have to upgrade or be stuck with XP forever.

Once they retire XP, I might as well go to Linux with WINE.

I think I would just about be prepared to do the same. Maybe by that time I'll be able to use Photoshop with it? :P

Spoiler for Everything else:

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much."
And spread his arms out on the cross and died.
If you believe that he did this for you put this in your signature.
