Dieing

Lets say you had a chance to live life forever and never die no matter what. You couldn't even get hurt. Would you? You can never take it back if you say yes.(I mean living life forever, not this thread)

Isn't death what makes life so 'beautiful'. The possibility that an experience may only happen once and only once? Life can be easily taken away so that is why life is so great, the possibility that it may not be there tomorrow.

nope. i'd only do it if i could, at some point, say "ok, stop, its my time to die" and then i could die. but living forever is.....

life is meant to be short. to be immortal could seriously get to you. every 50-70 years you'd just lose those you love, over and over again, and eventually, ud just want the pain to stop, so ud probably be like a hermit or something.
the only thing would be that u cant get hurt, so u could try helping mankind a lot, like go into the middle of wars and kill the bad guy and stuff.
otherwise, u'd have a lonely eternity.

I agree with both of you so far. I think that I wouldn't because if I did, I would probally take advantage of the fact and not care.

War isn't about "killing the bad guy". There's usually many a diplomatic reason behind any notion of war.

But yeah I'd totally live forever, yeah I'd get hurt when people I was close to died, but tbh, I'd get over it...

I suppose it'd also depend if your body aged..It wouldn't be too bad living forever young, or at least in good physical condition. Can't imagine anyone would want to live forever if they were confined to a hospital bed..

that would depend if i have eternal youth or eternal life. cuz if i have eternal life then i'll get very very old and would feel terrible. would rather die than become a 1000 years old and in a wheelchair and have 10000 tubes in me.

Yea, Would be a total nightmare, My great-grand mother was 88(?) and she couldnt move off her bed and was always sick. I could just not imagine when you are 150 years old :shock:

Even if a huge meteorite collided with the Earth and destroyed humanity, you'd still be alive?

Yeah, sounds far fetched, I know. Either way, I don't think I'd like to live forever. There will come a point where I'll become sick of life.

Yes, you would always be the same age that you were when you became immortal.
