What is the secret to being truly happy?

Yes you did, especially since the answer of it is so open ended. Perception is reality and if someone perceives something one way, then that is essentially "correct" but only for them. It depends on how one perceives happiness.

Sometimes, I feel truly happy when I'm sitting on the sofa reading a good book with a cup of tea beside me. It's really only in little doses that I feel like that and I think that life is a bit like that. We have those little moments where life is truly great.

Ah, Joie de vive. I guess that is the closest thing to true happiness. Solitude and serenity with oneself. I do realize that too, when I lay back on the sofa, listening to my iPod with the cat curled up next to me.

For me, its roller blading, and books And guitar. If I can fit all of those in a day, I consider the day seized.
