I'm sitting here trying to figure out who chose the Thread Symbols and what the logic was behind them. Now, I'm in no way making fun of them, because they're 10 times better than anything I could do, but I just don't get it.

I understand the Scroll for Announcements, that makes sense to me.
But, Rune Javelins for stickies? I'm not sure how a Rune Javelin = Sticky.
Now, Fire Runes means Popular, but Fire Runes aren't at all popular in Runescape, shouldn't popular be Natures?
And why is New Post a Nature Rune? Maybe it could be a "new" rune, such as Astral.

Another thing, I don't know if it's just me, but I have a hard time distinguishing New Posts(Popular) from No New Posts(Popular).

Are these symbols open for redesign? Because I think some people could make some good ones. I'm not offering to make any new ones, because I wouldn't know where to begin, but still someone might.

Please don't take this as flaming or bashing, I just think it would be cool if we got some new ones.

Thanks.

I'd say fire runes representing "red hot" topics worked out well. At least that's how i always viewed it.

Javelin thrown and STICKS the topic to the boards. ;D

Bang on there.

Anyone is welcome to make a theme for us. If it's good we'd be more than happy to use it.

I'd have to agree with Creepy and Shane. It would be nice to add some poison on to that javelin. Also the Move symbol isn't that great even if it says what topic is moved.

Honnestly, Im ok with it. I dont see anything wrong. If it would be changed, I think most of people would be confused.

Yeah, I'm fine with the way it is now (although swamp paste for a sticky would be pretty sweet).

Firemaking- Hot topic, self explanatory
Cooking- Not sure why but I think it suits it well

I like all of the symbols, other than the key. It looks like a doughnut shaped into a key and accidentally sat on. I would like to see these as the symbols though. :)

I actually like the rune symbols, but if anyone wants to make a theme, make a non-RS-themed one since we already have one themed on RS.

The symbolsa are cool, you might want to use the old ones (excluding summoning) but it is really good. Also, talk to karl 67 if you want a cool drawing, he is my cousin and i know he does really good work.

I think I agree, I like the summoning one but I'm not a big fan of the new skill icons.

Of course, I also love the good old symbols. Maybe if we get a new forum skin everyone's been talking about lately, the symbols can be part of that?

Mike and I aren't making any forum skins ourselves anytime soon. This leaves it up to you guys. Anyone is free to make a theme of non rs or rs relatedness. If you need resources or have made one shoot mike or myself a pm. We'll see what we can do.

Thanks.
