New Main Website Design

We have just launched the new version of the main RSBandB website. This website was a collaborative effort of Mushroom Queen, Jeff, Mike, and myself. Mushroom Queen did the graphical design portion and did a splendid job. Jeff took the design and converted into a modern html web layout. Mike and I worked on tweaking and adding in the existing pages.

The main new features that I want to draw your attention to are the quick at a glance views of Runescape News, RSBANDBUpdate!, RSBANDBInformer!, latest RuneWire posts, and the top 5 ranked members on the community highscores. We have also integrated the calculators into the site design so that means no more popup windows.

The new site design will pave the way for things we want to do in the future such as the items, guides, npcs databases, and closer integration of RSBANDBUpdate! and RSBANDBInformer! into the main website.

Once again thanks to everyone who worked on this design and offered input to make it better. Now go check it out!

Edit: Due to demand, we have added an option at the bottom of the skill calculators for people to revert to the old method of popup windows for calculators

Its great! I love it. The logo is really awesome. The only suggestion is to make a lighter border for the Combat calculator in case somebody gets confused about what your supposed to do.

Love it! Nice logo, and the donate button looks pretty snazzy. The calculators work great, and the links at the bottom look, and work very well.

Kudos! Kudos! Kudos! to Shane, Mike, Jeff, and MQ!!! Great work guys i love it. I agree with matttewda, the first thing i noticed was the donate button. I love the way youve changed the colors and stuff with the calculators too.

Tbh, before, the calcs didnt quite fit in with the front page (visually). Green and yellow calcs on a black and blue page just didnt quite work for me. But the new update is perfect!

Keep up the great work guys. Love it!

Wow its pretty good, I kinda don't like the banner but it appeal's and looks with the site design good, anyway's Goodjob and Thanks to everyone who worked on this.

I like the design but some of the input fields are too black (invisible, black on black) and this one ad (screenshot) takes over the whole screen I have determined that this ad is from popunder.adsrevenue.net just letting you know if you didn't already.

We've made some changes to the input fields, they should be easier to see with text and without text in it now. The calc fields are "invisible" as they are meant to blend in with the calculator rows as they did on the old calculators.

As for that ad... that's one of the new ones we added recently. They normally don't take up the entire screen because generally people use larger than 800x600

They are hard to see on the goal signature page also, maybe they could be outlined with the same color as text typed in them? Or a close color?

The text boxes are clearly visible for me. Try increasing your brightness or contrast on your monitor.

I tried that but it didn't really change at all, this monitor is off an old computer though.

When viewing a skill calculator in action, then Down to Bottom link works and functions properly, but the Up to Top doesn't. Thought I would just let someone know that its coding needs to be fixed. Other than that, very nicely done.

Thanks Jaden, that's been fixed.

We've also removed the pop up ads from the site due to some complaints about spyware and trojans despite needing the money.
