A nice way to die ...

Ok, say all those make-a-wish foundation institutes and whatnot were going completely bankrupt because there's just too many kids with cancer, tumors, and several other reasons why they probably shouldn't even have been born. In order to conpensate for this, the crazy government men got together and created the "Nice-Way-To-Die" institute, where these kids are relieved from their pain and torment be, practically, being killed in very nice ways.

The rules of this are simple enough:
- When someone enters this institute, they can have practically anything happen to them, but there needs to be a corpse or at least one less human on the world in 24 hours at least by whatever means necessary.
- Basically, they can live a dream or die with a bang, but some aspect to this dream-time must be lethal somehow. We can't rely on mere chance to kill them, like over-working a weak heart or trying to "scare someone half to death" twice.
- Also, the budget in which to spend on everything must be ... reasonable.

So, let's say you were sent to this institute. What, in your opinion, would be a "nice way to die"?

Examples:

- Eating a big bag of sugar soaked in odorless and tasteless poison.
- Relaxing and sleeping with a tropical drink in a big hot-tub that progressively gets hotter until the person is vaporized.
- Lethal injection while they are in REM sleep.
- Prancing around in a big bed of flowers dreamily while breathing poison gas.
- Skydiving and free-falling through the air without a parachute and a tranquilizer that automatically puts you out just before you get dangerously close to hitting so you're not scared.

I am not trying to imply anything negative on the human race, nor am I suggesting I nor anyone else is emo. This is just a post of opinions, as is usually everything else.

What would YOU define is a nice way to die?

(HINT: You can include a deadly stunt that is shot 'in a movie', adding the real death to the realism behind it.)

I always said I wanted to die naturally of old age during my sleep, so that I didn't know it was coming.

However I think it would be cool to die in some crazy way. If I had to chose, I would be the crash test dummy for a car going at supersonic speeds, whilst falling asleep from anaesthetic seconds before impact. I don't know why, but the experience would be cool just before fate.

Turn it into a game. Compete with each other for treatment. ;D

The games have real risk that will kill you, last man standing gets the treatment. Could put it on tv and everything!! YAY!

Anywho i'd say anything painless. A bullet between the eyes from a sniper would be fine enough, i doubt I'd know what was happening and I'd be dead in a second.

If it has to be with pain involved well there are many ways to achieve that getting stabbed with a knife or getting shot everywhere not vital parts but anywhere that will only cause pain at first and later death.

Painless A sniper shot to the head would be painless as you enter shock, or euthanasia machine.

If I were to choose, something painless would be preferred to something riddled with pain...I'd also want my body to be in a decent condition, so it could have an open-casket funeral. Closed caskets, if the reason is known, can creep me out.

Potentially gaming till I pass out, then someone could dose me with a sedative, and euthanize away. Suppose that wouldn't be too bad of a way to go out, supposing it was an alternative to a slow and painful death.

I would like to die doing something cool. Like scaling mount everest or something. I wouldn't really care if I died in pain as long as I was doing something adventuras or worthwhile like saving someones life.

I thought poison kills slowly and painfully, so I'd say no to most of the suggestions.

Although I myself can't think of a quick and painless death.

Depends what kind of poison. A high dose of Cyanide gas straight into the lungs will kill you in 14 seconds. Other poisons take weeks to kill you.

I'd have to say instant vapourisation. Either by nuke or antimatter annihilation or something along those lines. Or being headshot from point-blank range with a shotgun while asleep. Something painless.

Perhaps some kind of poison that takes a couple hours to painlessly kill you with no suffering whatsoever. Possibly a medicine to calm you as well, in case you are nervous. In those few hours, I could sit around and joke with all my friends, give goodbyes, and just have a fun time overall.

Just give them a good amount of 360 games, a working 360, and Live connection. Put them in a locked room with only water and just wait till they die from too much gaming. That would be the most fun way to go.
