Final Fantasy VS GTA

My friend and I were flamming each other to determinate the BEST game ever. I said GTA and he said Final Fantasy. I was like ''R0fl FF on PS1 is a dumb RPG''. And he was like ''Ya but GTA 1 is uber lame like Vice City''. So I need your opinion. GTA or FF ?

PS: Its for the FULL serie, And not only the First one

I vote GTA 'cause I like the way that you can do *almost* everything, Like stealing car, Robbing houses, Doing crazy missions.

You can't really decide which is better, they are different type of games, FF is a RPG, GTA is.... whatever it is... FPS?

But you're right, to very different games. Hating FF i'll go with GTA. Oh and remind your friend that Vice City was the best GTA game so how DARE HE use it as an insult.

GTA.

Purely because it made me play for longer, and tended to be a laugh along the way, I also loved playing the FF series however. It just became repetetive after a while.

I hate it when people ask which of two completely different games is better.

First of all, they are two different genres. GTA is more of a casul game, one that you can pick up and start playing. There is no depth at all to the game, but it provides an insanely fun experience. FF on the other hand takes a commitment to play. You'll definately be playing a FF for weeks, perhaps months before you decide to set it down. Now FF, an RPG, consists of usually turned-based/active time battles, with a very strong base on story. See? It's the complete opposite of what GTA represents.

The second thing is, this whole thread is completely opinion oriented. You will never settle the score with your friend because his tastes lie in RPG's. You may get him to say that GTA is a fun game, but you can't change someone's mind. Does it matter how many people from RsBandB say they like one game better? It proves nothing. Your opinion will always remain the same.

Why don't we discuss something conclusive, like religion?

gta, only ff game that held my attention was 7. if it was just picking their best game tho i prefer ff7 to all gta games.

I'm going to have to go with FF simply because I've played those games all the way through to the end, with GTA I just end up seeing how many people I can snipe before getting owned by the pigs. Storyline of GTAs never impressed me, whereas FFs has.

Neither is the best game ever, but between the two, FF is at the near bottom of the list and GTA is close to the top. Now, GTA IV could be considered the best game ever by the way its shaping up. Definately looks to be the best in the series.
