I trained at Barbarian Village, and found it quite fast xp. Although it is multi-combat so noobs tend to steal your barbarians.

Depends on what your combat lvl is. If it's good enough to stay at hobgoblins without getting hit I would say to range there. Otherwise you could range monks, cows, anything low lvl where many of those creatures are.

When I used to train my pure, I went to Varrock Sewers, there is a river and you can shoot zombies from the other side of the river. I got 1-54 ranged that way and I didn't have to use food. Also, it is as fast as barbarians or anything of that kind but food-free :)

The only disadvantage with this is that you cannot get your arrows back. Unless you do telegrab, which is not recommended comparing the price of Law runes to arrows lol.

Hope this helped a bit :D

As a fellow f2per, I know your troubles...

Barbarian village is too crowded, and just plain boring.

I trained to 30 on monks near the prayer guild (probably slower than other places)

Up to 40, scorpions in the dwarven mines were pretty fast...
