I don't mean hobbys/interests you have now. I mean things you did as a child, or younger and grew out of/had to stop.

When i was a kid i was a bit of a...well, guy. Girls was icky, girly activities where bad and if you didn't enjoy guy stuff (usually involving some sort of pain. XD) then you was weird.

I was such an awesome kid. XD

Anyways so when my friend somehow suckered me into going trampolining with him, something as a young kid (i was under the age of 10, sod off) i saw as girly, all that acrobatics and doing stupid tricks.

I didn't hold out much hope. But it was actually good, i liked it. I signed up and well, to this day there was nothing that felt so free as being able to back flip about and just do these..stunts and just i dunno, leap about. XD

Was a great stress reliever and kept me very fit. In the end the place got shut down and i had to stop. :(

I liked rock climbing, pot holing and other activities that tested your mind just as much as your body. But those sorta things was rarity's as there pretty costly.

Also did Drama for a few years, which i lovved. Being a drama queen and being free to express myself was great. Sadly i outgrew that one, silly age limits. :(

Hows about you? I'd especially like to hear the humiliating ones. 8)

Power rangers. Blue one.
And running around in my batman costume. That thing was sweet.

I was a very proper kid... too proper... Had this nice principle of not telling lies under any circumstances. I can tell you it was extremely inconvenient for my brother, my friends and myself. But everybody lived through it somehow and I did have a fair share of mischiefs anyway. The top one was participation in burning of a tool shack on a big construction site where accidentally a month salary for about a hundred workers was stored along with other flammable staff...

Played chess for 9 years (5-14).
Did a lot of solo day long mushroom picking hikes.

Did a lot of backpacking and rafting trips with my friends and parents.
My happiest time was when we built a wooden raft with a shack on it and floated down one of Belarussian rivers for a month. 2 adults and 4 kids. People in the villages by the river thought we are gypsies :-) But we were just floating down, stopping whenever we wanted and wherever we wanted. Crashed into low bridges a few times too.
We did it three years in a row (I was 9, 10 and 11 then) on three different rivers.

I er, was obsessed with school when I was younger (especially in elementary school). I would never ever ever ever EVER think of delaying my homework to extents that I do now and I always used to hole myself up in my room studying. Gosh I had no life. I didn't really do much else, never got into trouble or anything =x (I was so sheltered ....)

I never really got out of the house much when I was younger besides for school. My father worked a lot, got home after 9 most nights, so he never had time to take me anywhere to do anything. And my mom was too over-protective to let me do much, so I mostly learned to play with toys at home rather than the more adventurous things Creepy and Vaskor have done :P

I had a friend that lived close to me, we'd always play with lego and k'nex, then the original Doom on the computer when I got one (the cpu was about 80mhz i think lolol). Then I got a N64 when I was 9 years old and was hooked on video games and computers. :)

Yeah my mom has always been like that :(

When I was younger, I used to be a free person, I used to do whatever I wanted, as long as it was in the house. I hardly ever watched TV, never knew what a computer game was and my only friends used to live very far away. I kinda became isolated at a young age, as I didn't have any child relatives either.
We soon moved house when I was around 6, which is when things generally changed. I used to play in the garden more, and get out a lot more. However I still didn't have many close friends. I grew closer to my family in that time and did lots of activities and days out with them.
Then we moved house again when I was 9, thats when things changed. I became a sport fanatic and played any sport I could. My friends were all really good at sports, and I soon became popular at a new school. However it changed in my 5th year. I got a Playstation and Gameboy, and got hooked on them. I never stopped playing computer games, and haven't done ever since.
Now I'm 13 and I haven't ****ing changed XD

I guess as far as childhoods go I had a pretty run-of-the-mill one. Foreign holidays every summer, usually went away somewhere in England in the autumn as well. Spent my spare time reading mostly, wasn't really big in to computer games until I got to 12-13. I also liked going for walks up to a copse of trees not far from where I used to live. Spent quite a bit of time 'exploring' the local area where I lived when I was around 9-10. Neither of my parents were overly protective.

I was a reader. I loved to read so much. Until the age of six I lived in an apartment in a town with nothing much to do but go to a little petting zoo ish place called Storybook Land, so when I wasn't going there (which was nearly every nice day XD) I was reading. Learned at the age of 3 and haven't stopped since. :D

Well, when I was around the age of 9, me and my 2 best friends used to LOVE playing hide and seek. I live on the ocean, and there were a bunch of wharfs full of boats in the winter. Perfect for taking cover behind. Eventually, we grew out of it. It's kinda sad though, because since then, the wharfs have been cleared out and built up. Condos, hotels, etc. My mom was very lax about, well, everything. I'd come home after dark at the age of 9 =/ Sometimes I wonder if that was a bad thing...Oh well!

Going to my friend's house to see if they wanted to come out instead of ringing them.

Meh, good days.

Me and a couple of friends used to pretend to be video game characters, all the way from Sonic and Tails to Ryu from Street Fighter. 8)
