Why do YOU kill a monster?

Is it for drops? Experience? Or maybe just to have fun? Either way, post your answer here.

For me, it's a mixture of experience and drops.

I voted experience but the drops are a big reason also.

Part of the main reason I'm at abyssal demons right now is because I want whips, to sell and fund some training. But that doesn't mean I'm not also doing it for combat experience or fun, because I'm doing that as well.

I do baby blue dragons when I get the chance for experience for hp, prayer, and one of the melee skills.

Nice tactic. I wish I could do those demons.

If not for training slayer, it's for drops. Fun? Not a chance. Well, it depends what monster. If it's a hard to kill monster, I might kill it a few times for fun, but not a lot of them. I hate combat, to be honest.
I don't kill for experience anymore. Level 97 (was) good enough to do most things. Also, I like how my total was better than most people around my level. XD

So I would really only kill for the hope of a good drop now. Although, I don't have the best luck.

I usually kill monster for experience, but if there is an item I want I kill the monster that drops it.

Experience. Going in just for drops is a waste of time because there's no guarantee you'll get one..but if you hit damage you'll always get experience. Drops are the icing on the cake, always welcome but not always there

In the past, it was mostly for the drops especially when whips was 5-7 million each and granite maul was a mil a peice.

Nowadays, it mainly for xp. Good drops now require somekind of teamwork such as Dagonnoth King, Gods Dungeon. I am kind like to solo.

Generally, the only combat I do is for xp, or for a quest/minigame. I don't really enjoy 'funning' at monsters and most of the monsters that have good drops are way out of my range XD
