At least 3 kids in Leicester, MA have found metal pieces in their Halloween candy yesterday and police are treating it as a criminal investigation.

Who would do that to kids when it's supposed to be a fun night for them??

Probably some mental-case's idea of a prank and free publicity.

Whatever it is, it's NOT funny, and I hope they get jail-time.

Well, things like this do happen. I remember reading about how most cases of Halloween candy being tampered with are done by people who know the child (like a relative). Isn't that sad?

"Give us candy or we'll egg your house!" (Stereotypically)

I'm kinda not surprised tbh.

A psychopath thats who. Although its kind of shameful there are people who do that kind of stuff like poison it or othe hazardous stuff, and parents should sheck the candy more carefully.

Unfortunately, it is not a new thing, especially in big cities. Majority of the people wouldn't do such thing, but in every million there will be a creep who would. I know that many parents in NYC don't let their children to go trick or treating because of it. Instead they go to events where candies are provided by churches or other organizations.
It is not normally an issue in suburbans, though.

Basically, don't take candy from strangers... Simple.

I've never trick-or-treated and I never will.
