Holiday decorations

I think we should make holiday decorations to this site like a anowman or spider or something to make this place more interesting.

Yes, holiday decorations would be interesting.

The forums already have a Hallowe'enish look, a pumpkin would probably go well with it.

They don't have to involve a lot of work- like putting an image on the page.

No real need. Seems like a lot of effort for something rather insignificant. Although i still think my Halloween banner needs to be put up.

I support. I think that giving this we site themes would be sweet..

(I don't see how this would be a flame for the DC, the DC didn't do skins.)

Shane has said that there will be more themes when he upgrades the site to PHPbb 3.

As for halloween/christmas/other holiday decorations, I think that would be a neat addition, if it wouldn't be too much work for Mike/Shane.

It wouldn't be hard to add a new style sheet for holidays, especially with all the graphic design talent on this site.

Who says Shane and Mike would have to much work? We can arrange something with people that were in the old Design Crew or something and make some. All they would have to do is switch the images which really isnt more than a 5min job if all forums are the same with their Administrative Projects.

I'd be more than happy to make a few different seasonal decorations

I was goingto say thanksgiving but that is only in the US. So what about Christman? The skeleton in a santa hat would look cool. Also if the site had a frosty look to it it would be sweet.

I know we have lots of good graphics artists and CSS coders but from what i've heard here and there around BnB it would be harder then just inserting a new style sheet. I've worked with Style sheets on a few forums and they can be easy and hard to add.

If Mike / Shane wouldn't mind spending some time inserting the images / styles sheets that people make then I think its a good idea.

I had a shot at recolouring the current one to make it look wintery, didn't go so well XD [x] ... i'd so use it on "my forums" though <3

i think it'd be odd seeing another banner up there anyway. it'd be nice and all, but i think a new banner would look out of place unless we hung a bauble or a mini christmas tree from the skeletons finger or something.. XD

I actually like that. Stick a string of Christmas lights on it and it'd be even better.

Yeah but it would look better with animated Christmas lights. But thats just meh.
