Rsbandb Voice Communication

I think it would be good for the community if Rsbandb was to have either a Ventrilo (preferably) or a TeamSpeak server. It would certainly make playing RuneScape more interesting, as well as just be an open chat area for people playing other games, or just on their computers.

Think about it Mike and Shane

TeamSpeak is free to host.

It -would- be a good idea providing everyone can get on together. But as we get arguments in chat alone between people i could see it getting nasty at times and upsetting people.

Not that it'll ever affect me, the only team speak i use is XBL.

*nod* It would have to be moderated, just have a strict policy on that. I still think the positives outweigh the negatives. I'm going to edit my first post into a poll.

That would be a good idea, I see no reason why Shane and Mike shouldn't get a Vent. I mainly use Ventillo when I play WoW.

Does sound like a good idea, I use Vent when I raid in WoW. So I'd certainly use it.

I'd imagine if it did ever happen, it would be like chat, the global mods would moderate.

TeamSpeak is an utterly horrible program, the only reason that it's used is because it's free to host. With Ventrilo you have to get a license to host more than one 8-man low-quality server on an entire machine.

The thing with chatrooms is that you always have to switch back to the page and type, which can be a hassle if you're busy. No matter what I'm doing I can always be on Vent/TS at the same time.

If we were to do this it would have to be teamspeak unless we want to be limited to only 8 people with ventrilo.

There is no way we can get a pro license, and we will not be paying to rent from someone with a license because we cannot afford anymore costs related to this site.

Haha, yeah, I thought that.

Dunno, though. I might use it, provided people weren't morons and kept talking and spamming.

And we might end up having to put up with squeakers (don't click if you're offended by swearing). Unless there was some kind of age restriction or something.

Aww man that would mean I'd be banned straight away

But most people here are over 14, so they should have a broken voice.

I think voice communication would be a good idea, it would save having to share the same chat box as public chat when someone is saying important things.
