Post subject: Guide to a ownage range pure.

Hello and welcome to Imperius Iv's range pure guide. Through this guide, I will inform you step by step on a path to owning a killer pure!

Step one: The name.

Many range pures pick a name to describe range. Some examples are:

1x Shot x1
arrowshot
rangehit
0x Power x0

Step two: The training.

Many people belive that training your pure is the hardest part. You could say they are right. Follow this guide and you should have no trouble.

Range Training:

First take a regular bow and about 1k bronze arrows. Head over to the lumbridge chickens and train your range from 1-20 there.

Now that you have twenty range, buy a oak bow and some iron arrows. Then go to the falador cows. These are located by the yew trees and the air alter. I use these cows as the lumbridge cows get overcrowded allowing you no training. Train here from 20-30

There you go! Your on your way. Buy a willow bow and keep using iron arrows. You have two options now. They are:

Option one: Go to the monks in the monestray.

Option two: The minotaurs and flesh crawlers in the Stronhold of Security.

Pick either one of these options and train there intill 40 range.

Congratulations! You now can use green dragonhide clothing! Go ahed and buy the clothing and more arrows. Resume training at your choice intill 50 range.

Now that you have 50 range, you have two more options.

Option one: Become pay to play. (I recommend this as there are more places to train your skills.)

Option two: Stay at free to play. You then train at the lesser demons or the hill giants intill the range level of your choice.

Now if you picked the pay to play option, Become a member and go and buy blue dragonhide! Buy a brand new mage bow and keep using iron arrows.

Now on to more serious training. You have some options at this point.

Option one: Train at the lesser demons intill 60 range.

Option two: Blue dragons and greater demons.

I recommend option one intill 60. The only reason of this is that you wont be hitting on the blue dragons and greater demons thus, losing arrows.
Train intill 60 and, then...

Congratulations! Your over halfway there. You can now wear red dragonhide and your only 10 levels away from black!

Once you have bought your red dragonhide, if your out of arrows buy some more and then pick one of these options.

Option one: Now you can head to the blue dragons and greater demons.

Option two: Lesser demons.

Train here till 70. Congratulations. You've made it to 70 range. Black dragonhide awaits you!

Now if you want to stop here by all means do. You have a good range pure who can wield a karil X-bow and hit around 14-16s with rune arrows. You should be in the 50 combat area.

If you want to move on to even higher range levels, such as 99, keep reading.

Ok. Its time for some serious training. Begin with doing the Dwarf multi-cannon quest. The reason for this is a cannon. This will speed up your training immensly.

Now with 70 range and, (if you decided to do the quest) a cannon, you have some options.

Option one: Stay at the dragons and greater demons. ( I really, really recommend this one.)

Option two: Set up your cannon at any place you think will be a good training spot.

Train with your option intill any level you wish or, 99 range.

Congratulations. Your range pure is above 70 and or 99 range. You can now go get the range cape and be a true master of the wilderness and the skill of range!

Thank you for reading, Imperius

You said nothing about pking... i suggens the Hillz or Hills, Level 17-19 Wilderness north of Varrock, and as far as food for F2P, Trout for lvl 10-15 HP, then Lobsters or Swordifsh for 15+, fir P2P, same food, but at lvl 50 HP+, use Sharks, and if you pk and get kills alot, affording the Sharksshould be no problem. As far as the Arrows, use best you can get, or best you can afford. For Rune, Addy, and Mith arrows, loot them or buy, but at those arrows, they start getting pricey. And to be master of the Wilderness, it's pretty pricey. Buy a Dark bow after you get 60 Range, then use Dragpn or Rune arrows. But for Non-PK Rangers, I advise you use his guide. Or you can combine ours (How my Ranger is).

When you get 20 range, you can use a willow bow, why not buy that to range batter with?

At what point did he say he was going to make a pk guide?

There's nothing to it anyway. Get a bow, some arrows and some food and start shooting someone.

No offense Alex.. But why would you post that its worthless to write a range guide and, "nothing to it" ranging, yet you have time to read my guide?

And yes.. I did'nt write anything about pking. Purley for the reason that so many different people have pking styles, that i'd constently be having to write back to answer questions.

FtF, pures are engineered to PK, You could at least write something.

It's like having a how-to fly manual with instructions about maintenance.

That was also incredibly painful to read, use paragraphs as well as obvious bold section titles.

Rename it to "Training Range - In a nutshell"

Because it only touches on training, and it's very simplified. If you're planning to do that, you succeeded.

I read your guide to see if it was good. Do you think I need someone to tell me how to range?

For your information, I said there was nothing to range pking. Seriously what kind of advice would you give someone? "Don't safe"

Only in members wilderness is where you need strategy. F2P is simple.

You may want to say something about prayer. Getting 44 prayer on a range pure is not uncommon at all, and it is something you'll see being used in f2p wildernesses everywhere.

Pretty nice job, it would be greatly appreciated if you could add a section about PKing

This is where he says somthing about pking, "a true master or the wilderness". That is where he says it, so theres your proof. Consider yourself proved wrong. And heres a tip for a Hybrid pure (Hybrid is a pure who traind all 3 main combat skills), use the 2h combo with mage.

EX: Player A hits a 4 with range, Player B has 7 Hp left, Player A hits him with a 2H, hits a 3, Player B eats a Shrimp, Player A cast's Fire Strike on Player B, Player A hits 7, Player B is dead.

So tell me, how do I become a master of the wilderness, if there's no info at all on how to pk?

Useless proof = No proof

Just having a skill means absolutely nothing if you don't know how to use it properly. Ex: How would a ranger safe? What should a high level ranger avoid? What equipment should they bring? Where would be the best spot to take advantage of someone's weakness while only using range?

These questions must be asked by any pker before they can truly become successful. If they do not know how to answer these questions, they are relying on luck alone.

You forgot the rich way to get levels.
Get a few crystal bows, cannon, and range pots and go to lathus training ground.
