I think what Brad is saying is that you must create the door. In your explanation, the door magically appears, however in this, you create the door. Now, which is more logical?

Where does it state that in his explanation? He just said that you can't do something without opportunity. How are you suppose to create opportunity when the opportunity is really coming to you. You are the person trying to do something, so you can't create a way in order to let yourself do it. Something has to come your way first.

That was ignorant. Opportunities do not come to us, in life we must make opportunities, that's the way it works, and you will learn that sooner or later.

It's also a little ignorant to assume you can do and create what 'opportunities' you want in life, even as humans, we have limitations.

So if you want to get into an amusement park but you don't have any money to enter, you decide to create an opportunity by using counterfeit money? See, opportunitys come to you, you don't come to the opportunity. In this case, money has to come to you, and you can't create the money.

I am accepting my own reason as I said "you decide to create an opportunity" by using counterfeit money. And that would be wrong. So I said the money has to come to you which is "See, opportunitys come to you." So therefore, you had no reason to quote that.

The walker chooses the path.

If "the walker" is a person who just spends his life doing nothing but play videogames, with little to no social life, he will not get much happening.

But if the path just happens to come out of nowhere, that's like saying the person above suddenly stops his videogame addiction and suddenly socialises and has a job. Which is unlikely.

Maybe it's a little unclear but, to get an opportunity, you first have to be putting effort into what you're doing. I'm gonna have a go at another:

A man works 12 hours a day, and gets paid $1000 per month. Two years later, the boss doesn't increase his pay, because he isn't doing anything much except what he was told to, and slacking and stuff.

Another man works 12 hours a day, and gets paid $1000 per month as well. Two years later, the boss gives him a raise because he's been hardworking at his job.

Another situation:

A band gets to sign a contract from MTV because they liked the band. So for MTV to like the band they have to first be good at music.

Yeah so hopefully I got my point across.

Well even though I don't like the idea of my life being set out before I go through it, there's absolutely no way I can control everything that has happened and influenced me in my life so I guess I'm saying that, yeah.

The way I see it, We all have choices in our life, Crossroads in our path. Our paths cross and re-cross the paths of others, and even join with others' paths for a time. Paths end, and new paths begin, Some even fall back a ways or stop for a while. But no matter where we go, the path your on and the paths of everyone else are all going the same way, Forward. Nothing in life is certain, except that we must walk the life given to us to the end. Once we reach the end of our path, we look back and see that every twist and turn was for a purpose, to get us to where we are, for better or worse. It may not be the end you wanted, you may not become the person you wanted to become. But you influenced everyone else in the world, and through your actions, you may have allowed thousands of others reach the end of their path, just as you have. Influences go out like ripples in a pond, Every thing you do affects someone, and in turn leads them to effect others, and so it goes on throughout this walk that is life. We too are influenced, but it is our choice whether or not we let ourselves be moved by these influences. It is our choices that move us along this path. During the walk you cannot see ahead of you, For nothing ahead is certain, but only the point at where you are in your path. It is what you do during that point that makes you who you are, and it is not until your path has ended that you can truly see what your path was for. If you think that your path is going a wrong way, look back, and see where youve been, or look for the influences that are given to you at every moment of every day and use them to move ahead, only then can you truly know where to go or what to do to get to where you need to be. Once our paths have ended in this life is when we know once and for all if the end truly has come, or if we have just reached a new point in our path, and if we must go on once more.

Its sort of like my motto for life. "Its not the world that makes me, Its what I Do that defines me as who I am." This is my belief.
