writer's skill!!

What if we could turn our stories and poems into books that could be read in game!? It could be a skill. Would be an easy to raise skill but one way to get into literacy. You could buy a blank book from the guy who sells news papers. If you have a story that has already been posted or in a word document, you can copy and paste it into the book. As you type what you are writing, the pages fill. Much like the books that we can read in game. That guy who sells news papers can copy your book for 2gp per written page excluding the author's notes. So if you wrote a 2 page poem, it would be 4gp per book, but if your wrote a 14 page short story, it would be 28gp per book. These books can be traded so more than one person can read your work. These books can be sold at some sort of book store in the varrock library. When writing your book you can change the name of the author to anyomnous if you don't wan't fans of your book bugging you. The writer's skill cape could be red with a quill pen or a book on it. I know that there is already a stories and letters section of the Runescape site but no one really goes there...

well it would be cool but i dought it would be a skill maby a mini game.

I don't think it needs a whole skill for it.
I think there should be player literature in the Varrock Library, but it should be submitted to them on the main site, and if it's good they'll put it in. Also have a section on he website with all of the stories/poems so you can do other things in game when reading them or not need to log in to the game and go to Varrock.

I think it would be cool, but I don't think they need to make an entire skill from it. They could maybe let you have your own books in your house bookshelf or something.

Yeah it would be cool, but as said before, mabye not a whole skill, mabye in the varrok library, that would be cool

It would be good for a minigame or miniquest but as a skill there wouldn't be much to do

Yeah.It would probably be unessesary to have it as a skill. But it would still be cool to read your own stories in game in a book.

A skill such as this doesn't need to be in the game. It could just be a simple donation and maybe runescape could build like a player library so that runescapers can visit and read the stories/poems written by other members of runescape.

It wouldn't require a whole skill, since it has so little uses. Maybe an offset of crafting.

That's a neat idea and you've thought up alot of it.

But I think a minigame would be better then a whole skill, since alot of people would complain about a new skill like that.
