Yeah, herb farming can be very profitable.
There's also merchanting, fishing, woodcutting, fletching, high-alching and of course... Combat

Runecraft nature runes through the abyss. There is no faster money, unless you can merchant well. Another good thing is farming ranarr seeds. They might seem expensive, but so are the herbs you get :wink:

Well the most famous way to make money is by merchanting. But hey, you can't do that without a little bit of cash. :lol:

But if you want to make money very quick, I suggest air running, fishing, or mining. These are some of the best ways to make money for you to spend or merchant. I myself suggest merchanting willows or coal ore, but you could take it any way. By the way, if you are looking to make money by working, you are free to work at my Nitro Shops. Buy 1k steel bars as cheap as you can, ( I bought for 500 ea. in small bulks) Turn into cannon balls and sell for 800k, gives you a 300k profite. Takes a while but raises smithing

better way to get cash from smithing, and my method of choice... for those with 60 smithing or better, solo at the blast furnace. buy all your iron there, its cheaper than every method but ripping off noobs and mining it yourself.

at the blast furnace: 25-75gp ea depending on store stock
from a player: 100-150gp ea depending on price you bought, and store stock when un-noting it.

buy 25 iron ore, (other 3 slots are money, hammer, and knives) load it, cycle it, fuel the stove, pump in the heat, throw water on your bars, and then smith them into iron knives. iron knives sell for 40 each, so thats 200gp per bar, from about 38gp per bar. you multiply your investment by 7. and if you work fast like me, it's 1k revenue per minute. if you are unlucky, and the store doesn't restock, then you may make less form your investment, or you can change worlds every time stock hits, or would fall below, 50 ore left.

compared to smithing cannonballs, where your investment multiplies by 1.6, blasting knives earns you up to 10 times more off your investment, and get way more smithing experience, but it takes much much longer.

I always turn a good profit with fishing. People find it boring but i read and watch tv during it.
