So do you have split private chat turned on or off, and why?

I have mine on, I miss every message when it's off.

I hate it when it's off. It's so hard to follow private chat and regular chat at the same time (especially if you're in a populated area).

I put the split on when someone starts talking to me. When I don't talk to anyone I usually got it off.
