Alex 43]Well done, buddy! We need more people like that out there.
Jagex should recruit a number of bot-bashers (bronze crowns?) that scope out the area like you did and report bot-users.
Look at all those Chinese names and numbers there. I can imagine it's only a matter of time before we run out of name possibilities because of all these jerks.
Oh, and you don't have to double-post here. Just use the edit button and add another section to your original post[/quote]
Thanks for the heads up about the double post. It would be nice to see some form of in game presence, I personally would prefer to see gold crowns - i.e. J mods in game more.
The novelty would wear off fast and people would learn to be 'very' careful about not breaking rules near them.
Thanks for the compliment

I don't think you're thinking about this correctly. I'm not sure what you've learnt since you posted on the Officials, but these guys aren't autoers. They're players, like you or me, being PAID to play repetitively in Korea, China etc, giving the appearance of looking like autoers.
Also, banning is a punishment normally only 'feared' by people wanting to use their accounts. These people don't care if they lose an account and will just make another one if it is. Banning would be ineffective.
The ONLY way these guys are ever going to stop if there becomes a decrease in the Market. There's absolutely no use in reporting them, although technically you should.
Complaining that it's Jagex's fault is ironic too. Jagex don't buy RS Gold.

Edit: Sorry if I seem a little "flame-y"! I don't mean to be, really. You've done a GREAT job and all, I just think it's a little pointless. Hopefully you'll nail some real autoers in there.
Don't worry about sounding 'flamey'
I can take it on the chin.
The post on the official forum has remained unchanged since the day I made it (except for totals) Since then I have had a huge education in the proliferation of gold farming in RuneScape.
It still has a very valid point, however a different one to that originally intended.
Most of these players are actually either breaking or INTENDING to break Rule 12 (Real world trading) with the reports given to Jagex they can check the players account history to either:
1) Show that they have already traded off items in an unfair trade (in other words intentionally in return for real life cash)
2) If they havent yet moved cash / items from the account then they can flag the account for immediate attention when they do.
---
A rather key point is this: I have passed them over 1000 accounts and they have 'ONLY' banned 10%.... This is the 10% that they have either seen proof of macroing or real world trading on, the other accounts they can flag in readiness so as to eradicate them more easily in future.
The important part is that each name above was passed as a group.
Indiovidually reporting say Fred003 and him getting caught for macroing is great. However, if you show them that Fred003/004/005/006 etc are all single training one stat simultaeneously over a short period of time they can check them all in one go and save time and effort in a huge way. Also if they can prove that the same person has made rule 12 infringements on 4 characters and controls 4 other numerically sequential accounts of the same name they can watch very carefully or just ban all owned accounts.
So I would say it DOES have a valid use, albiet not one it was originally intended for.

Wow, that's an impressive list you have. But, like Anubis said, when it ultimately comes down to it, auto-ers/bots will never really stop.
I don't care if they stop, if they get enough grief preventing them from trading / earning effectively they WILL leave for easier games.
One thing people have asked is - what about if these guys are skiling, not farming or macroing.
It is true that we have to be very careful of making assumptions, I know many lvl 3 skiller pures myself.
However, you do not see skiler pures making 5, 10 or in some extreme cases 100+ numerically / alphabetically sequental characters and training them all simultaeneously. The focus of listing hte accoutns in this way was to highlight that practise.
I personally beleive that given time ALL of the above accounts will ither get caught cheating (Rule 7 or 12) or will cease to be actively used.
One person asked:

What if the cheats / farmers see that list, they wil know they are being watched and get cash / ites off the account!
I hope that is true.
JaGEx is already watching them and if they arent they will be able to se it historically when they get around to it.
Whichever happens first they willcease to be a problem in terms of the game economy and resources, which suits me just fine.
Cheers for the heads up Trekkie
