Well, I was thinking, I have this Gamecube game with all the old Zelda games for systems, (SNES ones, all of them, except for two new ones that came out a this year.), and I was wondering...

Which would you rather play? I remember when I was 4 or 5 when The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time came out for the Nintendo 64, and I played it (I sucked real bad, I just ran around and died XD) and when I play it on this Gamecube disk, it makes me feel good inside, reminds me of the way things were back then.

So, the main thing is, play a older game, and have it remind you of a lot of things, or play a newer game and make you feel like you do anyday?

I refuse to restrict myself like that. I play old and new and i love them all, i think most people call it a computer game nerd but whatever, it's a hobby. :P

Weird actually cause i just came on here to post about Red Faction, an old game about miners trapped on mars that are trying to fight there way off, Mike helped me get a copy i..."stumbled" across working as my CD snapped years ago and i was just playing it.

It's ugly as hell, aim is terrible i could shoot a guy with my aimer over him 5 times and only hit once but i still love it. Freaking awesome remembering the old Red Faction.

But on the other hand i play all the newest big hits like R6V, Gears, oblivion, Halo,2,3 when it comes out. :P

It's a hobby of mine what can i say, i just love how they work, old and new.

But you can easily play a retro game, with an emulator. That means no hassle of waiting for your mom to get off the TV so you can play your N64. :P

Besides I'm not old enough to get a job yet. :|

Hell I love both, there are some classics which I play everyday(tetris while I am at bathroom for example).
And I love what Nintendo and Microsoft had done to their new generation consoles and the games which came and will come out for both of them just makes me want to run around the room screaming with my hands up in the sky.
Video games had been approved over generations, so don't end up living in the past.

Even though I play mostly new games, but I like to play some of the older games like the Legend of Zelda. The classic games are always fun to play.

I play my SNES and Megadrive quite often. The classic Mario and Sonic games are two of my favourite game series. Along with that I play WoW quite often, aswell as my Super Smash Bros. Melee.
I'm the same as Creepy, I enjoy both old and new and I don't restrict myself.

zelda sonic and mario are the best games ever created. along with a lot of other NEs and SNEs games, i grew up playing them because i used to go my grandma's house in school holidays wehn i was little. she has a NES SNES ps2 laptop and sega lol :P
i play modern games too, ghost recon is awesome, condemned for the 360 is amazing, and is actually pretty scary at points :? gears of war multiplayer is bloody amazing, probably the best modern multiplayer game imo.
i love online games the best, i like being able to interact with otehr people from around the world, which is why i play WoW and im saving for an xbox 360 and ill be getting xbox live when i get it.

Well, some old games are good (Mario, Perfect Dark) But in about 10 years we are going to be saying how great of a game Halo was, and stuff like that.

So games that are good, will be good int eh future.

I've never been a huge fan of all the latest video game release. But I do like older games. Even the graphics can be terrible and the game play primitive, there's still something entertaining about them.

Personally I love older games...because some of them are so much more challenging than newer ones. I love ALL the Original Mario games for the NES. I still have my NES I love it 8) I also have a Sega Genesis and an N64. There are a few games on Sega I still like...but N64 only has a few. Goldeneye and Perfect Dark being 2 of them.
