The Dragon Scimitar.

Ah yes, the Dragon Scimitar.

Its a good weapon to have. Not only is it an ideal weapon to train with, it also shows other people you have completed the Monkey Madness quest. Some people find that a very difficult quest, personally... I don't.

To the point, it is a good weapon but I think I speak for everyone (if not, the majority.) that it's special attack sucks.

You use up just over half of your special attack bar in order to prevent your opponent from using his/her's protection prayers for a measly 5 seconds. Thats only if you successfully hit.

My solution-

The amount of damage you inflict is the amount of time they can't use their protection prayers.

What do you think?

Sounds actually pretty good but getting no prayers for half a minute doesn't sound to good. Maybe half of the damage in seconds.

I could see that being a problem... What about reduced accuracy?

well the acuracy on the d scimi special already kinda sucks seeing how you mainly hit under 10 if you hit at all as you said

i say that about a reduced time should be good
30 damage goes to about 24 seconds(20% deduction)

that seems preety good but i think time could be lowerd a tad bit more

tis' a good idea, but as southrend said, it could be a bit of a problem with the amount of time, and then as specter suggested it gets reduced by 20%, i could see it happening. we should make a petition or something :lol:

Personally I'd prefer to see the scimmy have a special attack that has a higher damage inflict, similar to the dragon long. Not allowing the opponent to use prayer for 5 seconds is not really all that useful.

Yeah I Know. Jagex should change this Spec Attack. I dont think that someone use D Scimmy on Duel Arena( Well Rarely) ( Major part of players use whips or Barrow stuff ). And noone waste their spec attack on PKing because everyone use them witrh DDS spec. Blocking prayer on monster is useless so YES Change this Spec Attack. Put something like DDS spec or D Long spec.

also consider that nobody really uses it to pk, just have a whip no point in it unless you're playing castle war. the scimitar only disables protection prayer for 5 seconds not all prayer usage.

a better would be a nice. i also think that the r2h should have a special too. i mean it was the best weapon in rsc

Another downside is that if your opponent is using the melee protect. It makes it even less likely you'll hit.

well they would do one where it speeds up the attacking rate(bout 100%) and acuracy/strength for 10-30 seconds
so like if your normal hit would have been
0,0,23,14,8,0,19,29,12,0,30
it would go to somthing like
10,10,27,19,13,4,26,35,18,6,35,31,24,16,4,17

i think that would be rather good seeing how it is powerful and the only real disadvatage would be high speed, acuracy and stregth so mages are going to complain that it is favoring warriors instead of them

hmm maybe we can work somthing out =]

(what i ment was like the prayer 10% boost to att str for the 10-30 seconds)

Y'know, that's why I bring a dds along. But yeah, if it gets improved then at least I save an inv spot.

Yeah, I agree. If you are starting a petition for the "make the dragon scimitar own more", then you have my vote.

It should also affect the kalphite queen!

But here is a question to add on to this. Can the speical be used on the Kaliphite Queen? To take the spec off?

I think the spec should make the scimmy be very fast for 5 seconds.

the special takes place the moment you cllick the special button so it doesnt seem that long

and no it doesnt work on her(have tried many times as experiment)
and yea i wished it did but there sorta is no real use to is couse your using armor that his thru prayer and def anyways
