Took them what, 6 years to make that decision?

Hopefully the Iraqis will finally live in peace without Americans.

Yeah, I was watching something on TV last night. In their religion it says something about "The world will either end, or the Muslims will win." I think the Muslims may take this as a victory. Better than the world ending I guess.

But I do think that there will be much more Civil War and suicide bombings without the Americans there to keep things under control a little.

World war 2 ended in 1945, Japan is now our friends, but there are still over 10,000 troops in japan.

Koren war ended in 1955, there are still more then 30,000 troops in Korea.

There will always be troops in irag, anyway, let the senate approve. Say hello to Bush's veto..

I agree with Kyle there. This is just a political stunt, to appease the people. Its what they dont tell us. They probably are pulling out COMBAT troops, but are going to keep troops there to "make sure the population is of" or in other words, to keep the US investments in Iraq stable.

True, but with out the US's help patrolling the Korean boarder South Korea would have been overthrow by the North

Bush is going to veto this, and every right-wing politician in the house and senate is going to vote against this. Every right-wing pundit is giong to be preaching about how peace in Iraq must be kept, etc., etc.

The point is that withdrawl of troops from Iraq is not going to happen, nor will it necessarily be good thing considering the conflict between Shiite and Sunni Muslims. Still at some point, I hope for the return of American troops from Iraqi soil.

:o ! How will we steal their oil if we pull our troops out?
I doubt they will ever fully withdraw. We are too tangled in this whole mess now.

Spoiler for Nietszche Quote:

But what did such a Teuton afterwards look like when he had been "improved" and led into a monastery? Like a caricature of a human being, like an abortion: he had become a "sinner," he was in a cage, one had imprisoned him behind nothing but sheer terrifying concepts... There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. In short, a "Christian"... - Twighlight of the Idols
