Yes, I got a ring of stone. Bought it with my own tokkul, crafted it, enchanted it, pretty much made it from scratch. Before you start screaming at me regarding the fact that I should have gotten a fury instead, let me just say that Runescape is just no fun if you stick with the trends that everyone else sets. I follow my own path and set my own goals and accomplishments, and let me tell you, I've had a lot of fun doing this.
So there.
I mainly got the chaos runes from the barrows. Spending 2 prayer potions and almost 100 death runes by worst-case scenario adds up to 30 000 coins, and getting an average of 250 chaos runes per trip brings me back up 25 000 along with mind runes, some pocket money, and the possible chance of some barrows armor.
Best case scenario: 1 prayer potion and 50 death runes : 15 000. I make a profit regardless of whether or not I get barrows AND I get some lovely magic exp from all those magic darts and House Teleports.
Oh, and as a last note, if you don't know how to speed-sell (I did it to sell my remaining 14500 chaos runes in less then 15 minutes), then this is how you do it. You set the mouse button to one-button, so clicking the left mouse button brings up that small options menu when you click on something. Then you bring the chaos runes or whatever you're selling down to the bottom of your inventory list. Then you enter the store and click right at the tip-top of the picture icon. The menu should come up with the mouse immediately over the "Click to sell 10" action. Simply don't move the mouse and click like a maniac. (Note: Works especially well with a laptop, as you can just keep hitting the touch pad button without fear of moving it).
There. I bought it. It's mine. No one else. MINE.
On a side note, I would've recorded how much exp I got for cutting it, but I know already that Shane had that value in his calculator, so I decided to forget it. Making it into a ring gives you a little over 100 exp points. What a rip-off.
Now I'm in Falador. I teleported to my house to grab a ring mould and then to Falador because my portal is right after the workshop. I decided, before I forged it, that I see how much I could sell the cut onyx in the general store. Again, I was rather disappointed. I always thought that tokkul was worth more then coins.
There we go. Nicely forged. Though I'd have to say, an unenchanted onyx ring HAS to be one of the rarest items in the entire game.
Wait, scratch that. An onyx NECKLACE. Dang, I'm so going to make my next onyx into one just to annoy people. Also, when they do come out with the enchantment, I'll be running around with one on already and I'll get to sell it for 15 million coins! WOOHOO!
I put it on while not enchanted just to show it off a bit on RSBANDB.
Being only magic level 84, I had to 'cheat' and use a Wizards Mind Bomb. So what? At least it's better then using someone else's onyx enchant tablet.
... gee, I wonder if there's actually an animation for tablet enchanting. I should make myself some Bones to Peaches ones off Karl's demon lecturn once he gets down to building it.
I found a quick little typo. Unless the guard has magic hands or cast an invisible snare or something, that right there is usually referred to some people, including me, as "being temporarily stunned" rather then "being bound my magic".
Well, that's it, unless I'm forgetting something ...
Oh yeah. I forgot to show you the after-product!
And there we have it. I got this ring for one simple reason - so people wouldn't pay so much attention to me. So far, it's yet to prove itself.
There you are. Keep up the pace, and you will complete your goals in no time!
