Well, am F2P again, and want to work on a F2P skill until I decide to start playing full time again, and convert back to P2P.

Which skill should I work on and get high? I was considering a combo of mining/smithing. What do you think?

Mining/smithing's always good, but I recommend runecrafting. It can make you very good money when you get to 44, 54, or 65 in P2P.

I would do mining, smithing, and crafting. Mine gold/silver, smelt it, and craft it. Or cut a lot of willows by Edgeville. There is only one tree by the bank, but one person for one tree is a lot better than 20 people for 7 trees by Draynor and a really lot better than "_____ wishes to trade you for no apparent reason." or "Can I have money?????".

I wouldn't recommend Smithing in F2P, it just isn't worth the time and money.

Some things you can do are:
Fly fish in Barb Ville
Drop mine Iron
Cut Willows in Draynor
Firemake :D

Personally I like to train mining and smithing at times when I don't have anything specific to do, mainly because f2p worlds are full of wc botters and fishing is too far (on karamja) from the bank to bank fish

If you just wana train the skills for exp and not for money then you could always fish , cook then sell to general store on karamja
or woodcut, then burn them
or just powermine

That wouldn't work because of the pure essence. But mining essence to craft fire runes with the dueling ring method to train runecrafting might be a good idea.

If you have any logs in the bank you were going to burn, burn them now, since firemaking isn't that different from P2P to F2P.

You could go to Rimmington and cut and burn willows there. Or buy willows from the store, burn them, buy more, burn, etc.

Just like Lord Zammy said try smithing, mining, and crafting.I'd also recommend trying woodcutting, and firemaking too.

I have decided to go for a high firemaking, and do a combo crafting/smithing/mining along the way. Thanks for the suggestions everybody :)

On a personal level, I'd go runecraft or crafting. But really, that's totally up to you.

Why get a 99 quickly when you can enjoy the skill for a longer time and make a lot of money in the process?
