Why did your parents choose your name?

So many cool names...well my parents named me Chris...I have no idea exactly why. I'm sure it has to do with its meaning which is follower of Christ...but hey I love the name and I trust their Judgement. Sergei is awesom and so is Curtis by the way.

My mom wanted to call me ''Anthony''

But My dad said : ROTFL I HATE IT !!!

Then my dad suggested Gino ( LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he would call me like that I would beat him tbh. ) And my mom said : Omfg...You Noob...

Then they called me Chris. I like my name but I hate my last name because I have an English First name and a French Canadian Last Name :evil:

отчество indeed, sergeevitch it is for me, and valerievitch for my father.

Brandt- from the Brandis region of the Czech republic. My mom is 1/2 czech...my brother got John after like 100000 of my family (alot of English family)...though me and my bro are twins, my mom wasnt expecting that, she was only expecting a girl...she was a bit shocked

as for my 2 middle names..all i will say are that they are very English names and my middle names name me after my great grandfather i believe

oh, and to save mushy the trouble later..i dont think she likes being called kristina by ppl she doesnt know irl or really well online

My parents wanted an uncommon name for me.
The day after I was born my name was in the paper as the 4th most common name in Britain xD.

well, I got My name John because My dad and his, and his dad and so on... My mom wanted evan, as my first name but my dad thought otherwise, so my parents combined the two, well sort of.. so first name is John middle Evan, last name:ummm...uneeded information

(God I hate it when my friends call me Johnny bravo -.-, I mean 'comon why would they call me that when My name is just plain John :roll:
