Lobster fishing....

Ive been fishing alot lately and ive been thinking, runescape lobster fishing isnt very life like. 1. The traps are not baited. 2. you only catch one at a time. So here is my suggestion...

You use bait with lobster pot and fish, you can catch as many from 1-10 at a time, 10 being very hard and requiring over 80 fishing.. What do you think?

Do you have to use bait in real life? I didn't know that...

But also, real people leave the traps in for longer periods of time, so this if you wanted it to be realistic, you would have to set the trap, leave for an hour, and come back to find 10 lobsters.

But then we're just doing hunter... :)

Look at farming. No one likes it because it takes long for the plants to grow. But it has realism. Plants don't grow in a few minutes/ seconds. Add realism to fishing and its another hated skill.

Yes you bait them in real life. In New england they take pots about the size of a computer and put squid in them, throw them off a dock and pull them back up in 10 or so mins to find lobsters.

If any of the RS skills were life like noone would play rs.

Think about it, plant an apple tree and come back in 10 Real life years to pick your first apple. Not very entertaining eh?

Put one lobster pot down and come pick in a few hours to find 4 lobsters, like warren said "Another hated skill"

This is pretty much the same with all skills;
You can't bake a pie in 1.5 seconds, you can't chop an 8 inch wide yew tree down in 5 minutes (believe me i've cut trees down before), you can't mine iron out in one swing, you can't...

I don't mean to be mean its just noone would play if things were based on real time because it would take to long.

Personally I think you're thinking too much. Ow! Now you got me thinking. That hurt.

But serious now, I see what your saying. That would be quite the reward. Maybe have different pots like there are for Rune Essence.

I know when we go crabbing that we use fish heads as bait also I once got 5 crabs in one trap lol. I think they should do this but the prices of lobsters would be like 500 ea or more. So Be Prepared!

Lol, fishing is already a pretty much hated skill by a lot of people because it takes so long.

As for the suggestion, i would prefer it like it is.

All skills take long time to train if we're talking getting 80+

If people don't like it they can always stop playing.

Your idea seems interesting but I'd reckon Jagex would get lots of complaints.
