Is Leveling to 99 just for Achievement Capes Immoral?

Well I personally got 99 fletching before the capes

BUT

I got 99 cooking because I wanted to trim my fletching cape.

Wasn't really immoral in my opinion. It was not so boring and hands free (cooking lol).

For me 99 Is just a long term goal. The QP goal was achieved for me when I knew contact was coming. I feel happy I achieved something mabye soon I'll get another one and achieve something else. They are just milestones to me. I mean lvl 99 smithing has its rewards (If I ever get there) also construction but then again the ones you can't do anything new at lvl 99 it's all glory.

^^^ i totally agree with this, they (jagex) are just making people want to play longer, become members, and spend more money..all of these= big money for jagex. although one of those magic capes would look good on me :twisted:

The skill capes are a little something to get people motivated.A while before they were introduced people were getting skills 99 for the pure pleasure and enjoyment of it. Now people only get 99 to show off their cape and to say to everyone that they're the best never realizing that there is like 50 other people doing the samething with 99 in the same skill.

I don't really think so, if you like the cape, or the way it looks, just work your way up and get it. It's as easy as that. It's very rewarding once you DO get it.

I know you don't like your cape, Agent Waffles, but once you get it trimmed, it will look a lot cooler.

Definately not immoral. It gives you a good reason and some motivation for level 99.

I know I wouldn't get level 99 if there wasn't some reward.
