it has come to my attention that the only hoods available in the game are very hard to get, except of course te ham hood, but it is pink. skill hoods, ahrims hood, etc... all are require emensly high levels to wear them. so here's my question. does anyone know of any hoods that dont require any skils to wear them? i really owuld like to get a black hood, but the only ones in existance are the 99 slayer skill hood and ahrims hood. grr.

perhaps i should suggest no req' hoods to jagex...

No you shouldn't. You want something you work for it. 70 Magic for Ahrims hood isn't that high, anyways.

i think it seems unfair to make someone get exceedignly high levels just to be able to wear something that does nothing... ahrims hood is good, and yeah, im planning on 80 mage so i could use it, but the character i what to wear the hood is only getting 20 defense. 70 would ruin the character.

and if you tell me that 70 mage and defense aren't exceedingly high, lets see you get 70 defense without ranged or melee combat... yes, 99 slayer is exceedingly high. so i have every right to see if JAGeX would consider. releasing hoods in as standard a fashion as mage style hats are.

I think runescape dosent make many hoods cause they have become a status symbol. People that have them normally have either really worked for and earned them, or they have spent the cash to buy them (this excludes the ever so popular H.A.M Hood...). I doubt Runescape will make very many hoods in the future that are easy to get.

Yeah, I would get 70 mage and defence without melee or range but I already have an account. I don't want to waste my time on an account meaningless to me, I would rather get Nmr7's levels up. Anyways, honestly, does it really matter in the end if you wear a hood or not? Yeah, its nice to look good but your not going to miss out on anything.

i know that ham and c wars hoods are easy to get, and yes i know you can pc usign magic and spend the points on def to get def up, or autocast defenseive spells... the point of this is, however, that i dont want to get 70 defrense. my character is a theme character mage pure. based off iban from the underground pass quest. his outfit includes a black hood. thts the whole point of this. to match and make it an original character. i could get arims if i wanted, but 70 defense is 50 levels higher than i want it to be. having 70 defense, you see, would give me an astounding level change from 60 combat, to 73 combat. a very large change, and effectively, the ruining factor in creating a pking pure account. with 70 defense, yeah, i can stand up to attacks from other players, but the goal here is to not have to. the goal is to entangle them, then blow them away with charged god spells and ibans blast.

no, dont bring up ancients with me, im notinterested. yes they are better than standard magics and ice burst has the same effect of entangle plus damage, but i dont care.

all i want is a hood! a simple black hood to wear when im not pking! a simple decoration that doesn't require over 2 million experience just to freaking wear it. just something to look cool and make me look the same as the character im trying to look like. its not something extraordinarily demanding to want. so now that im done ranting, consider my points nmr7, and try not to respond with some "you're a whiny noob/it isn't hard/im above backing up my statements" tone like you have in your last few, ehem, posts. answers like that arent useful to answering questions, they are just annoying.

now that thats done, i re-open the question: does anyone know of any hoods available that dont require high stats to be able to wear?

hoods identified:
HAM
C WARS zammorak
C WARS saradomin

finally, i'd like to apologise for the rantings included in this post. im not ususally all fired up like this, and i regret any change of anyone's oppinion of me i might have caused.

I don't think you need 70 def to wear ahrims just 70 mage...

I intended to answer your question in the first post and then say you shouldn't suggest it. (Which was no.) I did not once say you were a whiny noob and not once wanted to create that impression. I said (It was my opinion...) if you want something, you should work for it, which in that case isn't hard. If you don't want to give up something (staying a low level) for something you want (the hood) you don't really need one and shouldn't get one even if it has no stats.

And Tavor you need 70 defence for all Barrow items.

You have one Ham (ugly) and the castle wars ones (cool, but take a while to get). I think they should have hoods that you can buy in Canifis.

Nmr7's got a good point. You want it so bad, just train up. If not, get used to HAM and CW hoods.
