I was registering on runehq to look around and see if anything has changed...So i got to thinking, rsbandb should have advanced members. It would be like a $10-$15 yearly buy and some cool reason why to buy it. Here are some possiable reasons why, come up with some more.

Abilty to have a blog hosted here
Ablilty to have a msn messanger name
Special Private fourm
Maybe a bigger sig limit

It wouldnt be a donation.....idk how this will go over with the community but i think it would be a good idea.

Or for special people like me! I've managed to be...a little active on rsbandb despite my long time here xD most people should have been gone. But erm..good idea.

lol the forum area would be completly dead. The DU area is dead as it is.

Actually I've seen this implemented on lots of other forums and seems to work well.

But, yeah, I agree with Creepy completely on the private forum idea.

I can say that this probably wouldn't be happening. To my knowledge there is no way to implement this with PhpBB.

If it ever did I can say the sig limits wouldn't be increased. I know that we have a feeling that rsbandb should be free for all. Granted there would still be the standard features.

Plus I'm not sure if there'd be enough of a demand for it seeing as people who play Runescape are mostly young. Younger people have difficulty paying for things online because they don't have credit cards, a paypal account, or their parents don't let them.

Well, if they are members on RS..there could be a way to do this. And maybe you could do this through more than just PayPal, like cash options or something, cuz that's how I pay foy mr RS membership.. :s

Paybycash only really accepting huge companies that they think they can earn money, and they charge a huge amount of fee as far as I know.

Paypal is the only good option we have.

To be honest, I don't like it. Unless the website is suffering from low funds, we don't really need a "paid rank". We already have the "Donator" one and we can see how popular that is. :\

it's not the best idea...i've been on RHQ since March...the only reason people buy Advanced Members, is to mass pm people, and they have this guild, where you can attack people, and well you can attack people faster with advanced members...only reason RHQ has it, is to get rid of the adveritisments....and to also pay for the server they have set up on irc...and to get other things but can't really think of them atm...but getting advanced members on rhq isn't so great, and like said before that's why there's donators here on rsbandb.
