Hidden update?

I was going to buy some stuff from the sawmill operator to max out my parlour and I noticed there was a huge rock with a huge crack in it.

It isn't updated on the new maps so it has to be a recent addition!

I don't have a clue to what it could be. Perhaps the rock will break and reveal an dungeon entrance? It's close to digsite and it's close to the river salve. It could be any of those.

Or maybe we just need to hunt for bugs who lives around the rock....

Hmm... either to do with hunting OR for the second quest coming out? I get the feeling there will be another quest for some reason... We'll see

Maybe hunting will have it's own dungeons like slayer does, though Mod Paul has said it's "nothing like slayer" so idk.

I'm not a Member but used to be but it's gonna probably be like a cave no dungeon a cave for hunters to hunt with or the Second Quest of whatever it is.

I found your rock. There's even a "transportation" sign above it on the minimap.

It has to do with the new quest. Once you complete the quest you are given several areas you can travel to as long as you have the certain amount of logs or skill level; One of those places is Varrock and I believe that is where you land at.

Ballooning.. As dragon has said. You have to unlock each balloon location to fly to it after completing the new quest 'Enlightening Journey'
