What religion are you?

The question is this: What religion are you, and why do you believe what you believe?

If you wish to debate it, try and keep it civil. I know there have been religious topics in the past that have turned into flame-wars, and i dont want that. I would discourage even starting to debate it, because you may inadvertantly offend someone. I would advise just stating what you believe, and leaving it at that.

Atheist/Agnostic - Dont believe in anything, or arent sure.
Christian - This includes all kinds of Christianity, including Catholicism, Anglican, Orthodox, Scientology, etc. Explain in your post which kind, though.
Muslim - kind of explains itself - includes all kinds of Islam; Shi'a, Sunni etc. Explain in your post which kind, though.
Jew - like the others, all kinds included; Orthodox, reform etc.
Hindu - pretty self-explanatory.
Buddhist - again, self-explanatory.
Satanist - includes both kinds (believe in both god and satan/believe in neither). Again, explain in your post which kind.
Pagan/Neo-pagan - This is a rather vague handle, but i cant imagine there will be many here who are. Wicca is a good example, but there are others.
Sikh - self-explanatory.
Other - vote other if your religion is not covered by any of the other things. This would include things like the Baha'i faith, or anything else.

I am an Atheist. I was brought up catholic, although even from an early age, I doubted the stories of Jesus' miracles and such, as well as the existence of God or Satan. I just dont think there is a God, nor any kind of holy prophet or anything like that.

I don't believe in nothing, at least no great god or hell. Evolution brought us to where we are today, a mysterious god like thing had nothing to do with it.

I'd like to point out Athiesm and Satanism are not religions.

Athiesm is a belief of no greater force and pure chance, and Satanism, before somebody says, is not devil worshop, it is practice in enjoying life and relishing in the carnal desires/sins. (7 Deadly sins)

There are two kinds of Satanism. The first, which is sometimes known as Humanism, is the form you have described.

The second, which is also called LaVeyan Satanism, is where you believe in both God and the Devil, but choose to follow the devil, as well as do magic and stuff. You also follow a humanist path along with that, though.

Satanist. Ever since I realized religions are pointless and most are just wishful thinking(reincarnation, ect.), I became one. I don't actually 'practice' being a satanist or anything, but I wear all black and things like that, so maby i'll pick up on it..

I voted Other. I need no mortal to tell me how to live. Therefore I will choose only to obey my instincts. No bible, no holy book, etc. As they were written by Man. I do not 'worship' Man.

I believe in free will.

God gave us the choice to make our own decisions. Unlike any other animals, we have conscience, and therefore free will. I believe in evolution, yet I also believe in creationism. I believe a God created the animals, and we evolved.

Why did we evolve so quickly? Why did we evolve so much differently than other animals? If we evolved from apes, why are all other apes so primitive?

I believe in a heaven. I do not believe in a hell. I believe that life is a test. A test of unselfishness. If we pass, we go to heaven. If we fail, re-incarnation.

I believe in a God.

If you choose not to, that is your free will. I do not force my opinion down anyone's throat, and therefore I would like you to respect my opinion as I respect yours. Thankyou.

I voted Jewish because that's how I was raised. I believe in God, but I really do keep my religion to myself. I believe that your beliefs should be kept private because that's the only way they're effective. I don't think that trying to get others to think like you makes you a better person, it just makes you an ***.

I'm Roman Catholic but I follow my own path like Anubis and restrain from shoving my religion down others' throats. When someone personally attacks me because of my religion I have a problem keeping it to myself though. Then again, many people have this problem as well. Otherwise we would not have as many conflicts in the world.
