Yeah, but the reason I think most people don't like it, myself included, is because animals have no idea WHY they are going through this pain. They can't understand, they are just living a normal innocent life then all of a sudden they have to go through things like that, completely unaware why. I would gladely volunteer to take the place of the animal anyday, because at least I would have an understanding of why my hapiness was being taken away..

But, that's just me. If someone handed me a gun and gave me the choice to either shoot an animal, or a random human, I would probably slowely and joyfully unload on the person. Unless it was some hot girl or something..

Eh, i really doubt something that jumps about eating grass, having cex with female bunnys and sleeping thinks to much. I can almost gaurentee it doesn't sto and think "WHY AM I GOING THROUGH THIS, WHY HAS GOD FOR SAKEN ME."

Stupid animals have fealings use out dam tech to find cures ppl **** me off relly.

As you all know im not socal person and i dont give a rats a** about very many people all my freinds are animals!

They dont have the brain power to think like humans, but they do think, and they can feel pain. They have enough brain power to know that some needle being shoved into its eye really hurts.

The point about animal testing is that theyre testing drugs and cosmetics on helpless animals for new and better improved versions of drugs and cosmetics that ALREADY EXIST. If we already have perfectly good products available then why continue testing for new stuff? Do you really need another weightloss pill or mascara that bad? People always say, "If we didnt test on animals who are we going to test on?", how about ourselves? Why should we test products on animals that arent even going to be used by them! Its unfair. If people want to use some new medicine they should test it on themselves.

Im divided somewhat on the issue of animal testing.

Some of the testing we do on animals is necessary - cures for cancer etc; and improving drugs we already have is also necessary, crysala, because some of the side effects of the current drugs can kill.

But, when it comes to cosmetics and stuff like that, things that are unnecessary, these should be tested on humans.

You SURIOUSLY need to attend a science class, and don't get me started on language arts, a machine is not in anyway close or even on the same results as an animal would be when it comes to testing. As for all you vegans eat your veggies and fruit, don't try to convert us to vegans like its a damned religion as some comedian said, animals, fun to pet, better to chew.

I know you in real life hope you dont forget lol.and big talk from a 7th grader But you know through seriouse study on my birth day searching through alot of web sites there are machines used to test on but. People belive animals are like us. Where not the same we have a stronger will and a stronger emunity.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Machines cannot accurately test drugs. They are not alive, they do not have cells or metabolism. Something that is alive is required to test these things on. That thing could be a human, could be a rat, could be a monkey. Machines can only predict stuff based on results we already have, which were acquired from experiments on real animals.

And how the hell can you say humans have a stronger will?! We dont talk to animals, we dont know animals, there is no way we can tell that, so shut up. And about stronger immunity, think about cats. They have an immune system strong enough to cope with raw meat, but we dont. Eat raw meat and there's a chance you'll die of Salmonella or E Coli. The cat wont.

Nolanlolz, im serious, i am against animal testing, but you cant do it with machines. You NEED something that is alive to test stuff on. That doesnt have to be animals, it could be humans, but it HAS to be alive.

Well, I think... we all have different views on this. Where as *I* would rather a monkey die from a test over a human, others may think differently. I think it's important that we don't try to push our views on anyone, as there is no moral way to do this. The safest, is to test on animals, perhaps the most moral, is to test on humans - but if the test failed and ended up lethal, wouldn't that be classed as murder?

I myself am tired of this arguement, the problem with both sides is that we don't want to be wrong, but none of us are right. ;-)
