THIS IS NOT MY GUIDE...I got it off of Cruels.net and I thought I'd share it here.. all credit goes to Rune Cheater at Cruels...
Ok, here is how to do for the one with slow comps:

Go to Control Panel. Choose Java. Choose again Java. Click on view. Add this:
Code:
CODE
-Xmx*M

The * means you will need to put a ram in there, NOT MORE THEN THE HALF OF YOUR NORMAL RAM.

Here is an example how it must look like:

It worked pretty well for me.. if you wanna find out how much ram you have go to
Start>Run>dxdiag
Then there should be this window that pops up.. near the bottom it tells you how much ram you have biggrin.gif
.... I just posted pics on how to get there if you dunno.. on second page biggrin.gif

I've not tested this myself.

I'd rather not mess with my java console unless I know 100% what I am doing. Other people should do the same. If you have a good internet connection and atleast 256mb of ram your runescape should run nice and smooth.

Like many people said, it's not a good idea to change all the settings in Java or whatever it is because if you don't know what you're doing 100%, you could just do it all wrong and get owned by yourself.

It's just adjusting the amount of RAM java will use, it's like making up for bad connections by relieing on your RAM over internet speed.

I have 1280mb of ram and a good processor anyway, i dont really need to.

And for those who have rubbish computers, this might not be such a good idea anyway because it will make the java console use up way too much ram.

Just stay how you are, people, and you'll be fine.
