I would say to buy one if your computer is running slowly. Or to just buy one for safety.

DO IT!

I need to buy one too...running low on RAM :?

Wait so you already have 2Gb of RAM?

Two gigabytes of RAM is the maximum you need for modern machines. There really isn't any need to go beyond that unless you are a graphics designer or you have special needs. I know many people who had 4Gb of RAM but didn't notice a difference betweenn 4Gb and 2Gb.

My recommendation is buy when you really have the need.

i think its a wise choice to buy those if your a hardcore gamer,or you do certain tasks, such as graphics designer, or programming, but 2 gb is quite enough.

Oh sorry.

In my opinion, I think 1gb is just fine. Unless you have lots of background applications running simultaneously then buy another one.

Get it.

But make sure you have the right kind of RAM. PC 3200 or whatever.

Im getting another gig of ram of my laptop soon. I have the need for it, especially with things like 3DSM, Photoshop and Apophysis.

What ram do you have now? 2 x 512 or what?

I also have 4 slots, I had 1 gig, 2 open slots, I bought another gig, 512 x 2. Now I have 512 x 4 to get 2 gigs. :P

:? If you already have 1 gb and are buying 2 more that'd mean you'd have 3 gigs. You'd be better off just buying 2 512s.

Read that. It tells you how much RAM you really need.

1Gb is ok, unless you play BattleField 2. lol.

Battlefield 2 original = you Need 1.5Gb or RAM
exp= 2Gb.

I used to have 1Gb of ram and it lagged like [Censored :P], but DoD Source, CS Source and all those other games never really lagged (except for Internet etc. etc. etc.)

It really depends on what you're doing. I just added a 512 stick to my computer and it serves me fine. But then again, I don't do major gaming or 3D rendering.

Just to tell you, If you are getting RAM for speed, get this stuff called Speed RAM. It is incased in a metal case, so it wont get dust and it workes twice as fast as regual RAm for not that much more.
It is worth the extra money
