Never affected me. I did well, and still do well.
While playing Runescape I learnt a LOT about computers and the internet, etc. If I hadn't played it in the first place, I wouldn't be using these forums, I wouldn't have got into graphic design... Yeah. There are a lot of factors and I think I benefitted from it.
However, what I just said is branching off from Runescape itself, and your brother played Runescape 4 hours straight every day after school.
My brother is two years younger than me, and if I compared myself to him when I was his age, there is a massive difference in... everything. He only ever wants to play games on the computer, whereas I'm interested more in learning. I don't really think it was the games that affected him though, but more the fact that he never wants to learn anything. He's so reluctant to do any homework. Won't just shut up and get it over and done with, he makes it harder for himself without realizing it.
Sometimes I wonder how he'll cope in a year's time, with five times as much homework.

well i play runescape all the time during summer and breaks but on school days i play rs only after my homework is done or on fridays depends on how much homeword i got seriously if i was addicted to it my father would throw my computer oout the window im on honor roll...

Without being rude, if you play RuneScape enough to allow it to affect your real life. You wasn't that bright in the first place.

My grades are very good, and my English grade improved thx to RuneScape. Ee use ?/10 but it would be a B or something. I hope I didn't made a spelling and or grammar error in this post or else I would be a total noob :oops:

Most of us gamers have had experience in other MMORPGS and from that alot of us are like immune from addiction. I only play the game when I feel like it which isn't very often. I quit last year because it was my GCSE year, but there was no difference in my previous year grades with my results (which i did well

). I didnt really see a difference at all.

It's not just runescape that causes this though is it. It's the person attitude - if you're lazy then you would much rather watch tv or be on the computer. It's a bit like me, right now i can't be bothered to do my science cw and my english cw, which i probably should

I might go do it now actually.

I had a good average, (can't remember now :[) but that was without my latin test -.-' I got 18% in it... ANd the sad thing was, I was in the top set, and came 3 bottom out of my year -.-'

I hardely think RuneScape is going to demolish our minds, although it did when I first started playing, and became stressed out because I was banned, but then we lost internet for 2 weeks, and I was "uplifted" and now I feel much better after quitting for 9 months, and now I'm re-addicted -.-'

ya i think thats what he is sayin and thats not true iam 17 years old and iv been playing rs for about 2 and a half to 3 years and my grads are all still in the 80s.... it didnt do any thing to me.. just get home do homework play rs...
