I was talking to my friend about this one day and he said that I should suggest it just to see what Jagex says. He thought it was an alright idea. Before I do that, I would like to see what YOU think.

You know how each holiday usually has a small, non-tradeable item (Ex: Yo-Yo, Marionette, Rubber Chicken...) or some kind of emote (Ex: Scared, Bunny Hop)?

On pure account, I have only done a few of them, and I hate going through my emotes and seeing "Scared" when I am not able to use it, or seeing people hit others with Rubber Chickens, something that I can't go back and get.

Well, here's my idea:

You know how when you lose an item you have to go back to Diango, or the Varrock Clothes Store to retain that item?

I think that we should be able to 'buy' the items/emotes from the past holidays at either one of those places, only, the prices would not be cheap, and maybe only certain items/emotes would be offered.

I can see items like a Rubber Chicken, the Christmas hats (no, I don't mean party hats or santas), a Yo-Yo, and few others being offered, but since some people have actually been playing this game for quite awhile, Scythes and Bunny Ears would probably NOT be some of the items offered.

Although these are merely just small holiday items used for fun, I don't think they should just be given out for the ones that missed the holidays. To encourage people to try to get the items/emotes at the next holiday drop, the prices would be kind of high, but still somewhat reasonable. I was thinking at about 50k - 200k per item.

A simple vote, and feedback on whether this is good or bad would be nice. Please feel free to add something if you wish, or slightly change a part of it.

I'm thinking of only sending this to Jagex if I can get 75% - 80% vote on yes. MAYBE a bit lower if the feedback is good.

I like the idea because there are some emotes I don't have that I wish I could somehow get. Good idea.

Eh, no.

There to show the length of time you've played this game.

HOWEVER if your account was created before that day, you should have access to buy one if yo uwasn't online that day.

Cause i missed a few drops cause i had a life and had better things to do than play on whatever day.

Yeh. I agree with Creepy too, that their there to show how long you have played and that you only should be able to get them if you started before then. So if you suggest it, I would say to add that in.

I saw a post exactly like this on the official forums. Emotes/Items are symbols to prove how long you've been playing.

i dont agree with this, "most" ppl have phats from gettng them from drops. If you have played long enough you deserve a little seperation from the noobs, image how cool jester hats will be in 5yrs.

I can understand what you're trying to say, but I just don't agree with the "showing how long people have been playing" thing.

Seriously, I really don't care how long I've been playing or someone else has been playing. People just end up ridiculing others over the length of time that they've been playing this game.

Edit: And don't say people don't do it! That half of the players don't do it!
I was playing yesterday and a HUGE group of people got into a fight over something as stupid as this. It also wasn't the first time.

This question is for you who disagree.

Why would Jagex make drops so people could show off, and not use the holidays for what they're meant for? Do you think they want people to have rubber chickens, or any other item/emote, so that in 5 years they can run up to people who don't have them and laugh at them, only because they've played longer?

But, If your account was made and just might have missed it you should be able to go and buy it.

That's a good idea.
Maybe they should drop Phats and Masks again too...*Sarcastic*

It's not like the emotes or holiday items (yo yo, rubber chicken) are even good. So if you missed it, who cares.

Sorry gonna have to say no.

I mean, what Jagex wants from the items is to show how long people have been playing for. Not just 'cause they can afford it.

What Jagex says every time "These items are ment for fun, so don't be mad if you don't get one"

No.

yeah, i mean, some ppl spent a while getting some of those things or bothered to be on. I mean, they always give a week or 2 to get the items, so if u dont get them thats ur fault, they give plenty of time
