Jagex. Our Lazy, Over-Protective Administrators.

Ok. I know this game is meant for EVERYONE, but some restrictions should not apply.

Jagex is pretty much babysitting us, or better yet, being our parents/teachers.

1) The censors are ridiculous. You can't say "Phone", "Thats" unless you have the apostrophe (that's), "s" alone doesn't seem to be working (I can't use my favourite face '=s' anymore), etc.

Oh, wait... but have you seen the censors you can get around? My friend was playing around, and said something he really shouldn't have said. Guess what, they didn't censor it.

(Saying the words I know you can might get me banned, or instigate foul language amongst players in the game, so I will keep them to myself.)

2) Does Jagex even read the reports? I mean the serious ones. My friend just recently got banned for having an UNSUITABLE NAME. He named his account 'Flaming Mods'. Right away, Jagex accused him of impersonnating Jagex Staff and banned him. Under evidence, guess what he saw. Nothing. No evidence what-so-ever. Why, you ask? He never did anything wrong. First they perm. muted him, then perm. ban. They haven't even read his appeal yet.

(I bet they know they're wrong...)

My other friend got a 3 day ban + 2 black marks for telling his friend to buy a burnt shark for 300k.

Another friend got banned for something, (I do not recall what it was), but something about it really confused me. The evidence was there... but the words were changed around to make him look like he did something wrong. He was Mod material too, and his dream got shot down by that.

3) Mods are necessary. Mods are also instigators.

Come on. Calling people noobs? Being as immature as the other players? I know some repectful mods, but others that I have seen lose their temper so quickly, say things that they shouldn't; are really not suitable for this position.
(I could name a few, but that would be unfair.)

I agree that they are needed to keep the peace, but how do you keep the peace when you are the cause of the disaster?

I like playing this game as much as the rest of you probably do, but these things are starting to get me mad. It's really ruining the game for me.

well jagex dotn have time to deal with 1m player +. there are like 20 mods, all your frinds kinda deserved to get banned, jagex dosnt rele have a sense of humor. so blame the noobs who **** jagex off and then they wont deal with the small stuff they just ban outrite.

I agree. Jagex are hypcrites for a lot of what they say/do. There just doesn't seem to be a solid rubric to deal with the more complicated situations of rule-breaking. I just think that a lot of the employees who read these reports make hasty decisions so that they can move on to the next. This is what I think the main cause of wrong consequences is. Either Jagex can expand their report moderators and crack down on the behaviour of p/j-mods or they can continue to make-do. I think they choose the latter since it's cheaper.

ok, heres the main thing. There are over 1m players, and only a few mods. Plus, they dont have a large staff. SO, to be honest, they will only look at a few a day or something taht wil lactually be worth it. They cant see everything, or do everything u want. They will always be getting someone mad, or will always be making someone happy. They cant please everyone. Also, as the word censor, theres only so much they can do. there are almost indefinite ways to say bad words, in many languages, so they cant stop everything

Yeah i agree, I also got a blackmark and i went to appeal it and got some automated BS they dont take the time to see behind the true story lol and yes censors suck

No company is perfect. Imagine running a company that had to deal and entertain adolecents, that can't be easy. Jagex take alot of criticism from people (me included) when they do things wrong. But people seem to forget them when they actually do something good. So like i always say to people who have a problem with Jagex. If you really don't like their way of buisness that much, the answer is simple, quit.

Jagex needs to lighten up, Andrew must have gone emo after he got hacked.

They really need more staff. Especially for customer support.

And I bet Jagex knows that he didn't to anything. Some of the J mods need to get banned for misuse. Its sickening.
