The Man Who Owned Runescape

On 6/5/06 Cursed you announced a 99 construction party at his house in world 111. Many people went including Durail321. After a while people discovered that you could attack other people outside the dungeon arena and even outside the house! Durail321 took advantage of this and decided to go on a massive rampage killing many people and getting a few rares. Many mods were at the scene including 2 J-mods warning people to step away from the portal in rimmington. Durails account is still locked and he has sent in a ban appeal.

it amazes me that something so huge and devastating can happen. Seriously, Jagex, as a business should test -everything- before releasing something like this.

Studying the business world for two years taught me that the three most important things are;

Customers
Products
Quality

They have the customers, they have the products, but where's the quality?


Obviously, it's hard to maintain a high quality when the demand for new products every week or so is exceptionally high, but blunders like this will not only reduce the happiness of customers, but stop extra products from being made due to bug testing and repairing.

My opinion, Jagex needs to test things more. There are a lot of bugs with Construction, and to me - it seems to have been rushed.

Ironic that the day, for some people, was 6/6/06...
They should have shut down the server.

If your gonna act like your someone important, at least spell Durial321's name correctly.
I think he should be banned, because he abused his power. He is banned and that will be that.

Alrite..after reading like 20 pages of it on Runescape Community I think that Durial should and shouldn't be banned.

1. He should be banned because yes he abused to power of being able to pk people while not being in the wilderness, dueling area, castle wars, or the dungeon of someone's house. It was totally wrong for him to go around killing people with stuff. He got a pretty good amount of stuff. Green Phat, Obby Sets, Ranger Sets, and many other things he said.

2. He should not be banned because it was a bug that Jagex did not fix from the start. He did what he could of done with something that Jagex messed up on. Who wouldnt of done it? I bet if a Mod or J Mod had the power to them they would of done the exact same thing. There should be no action taken except that he give everything he got back to the players that lost it.

There's my opinion on how the situation could be worked out.

J-Mods should have the power to cast a spell and teliport everyone in the map raidius and the power to log everyone off of the server. Also they should be able to log out from a battle.

Obviously Durial321. This is what happens when you have idiotic people with party hats gloating about in the boxing rings.

It pretty clearly states that if you abuse a bug, whether it is jagex's fault or not...you are breaking the rules. If you are breaking the rules you can get banned...he's not getting his account back...for the record what was his combat lvl?
