The beginning

I started playing runescape in April 2002, in the days of RuneScape Classic, playing with two friends who had started before me. I originally started with the account Matt23590, but that is now dead and gone, and in the past somewhat. About two weeks after i started, i decided to make a new account, and that is the account i use even to this day: St.Laflahae.

I remember my first days of RuneScape were spent in a rather noobish fashion. I seem to remember thinking what i now know as Al Kharid was Varrock, and i got really annoyed when someone else got a Bronze med helm that was on the floor in lumbridge castle. I remember thinking that the 10gp to get though the gate to Al Kharid was a lot of money.

After about 4 weeks, I had my first death. It was slightly annoying, because being the noob i was, i carried everything i had everywhere, and so lost everything, except some Leather armour and a bronze pick.

Mining, Smithing, Trading, My First K

The first skills i started getting up high were mining and smithing; ive no idea why, they just appealed to me, and I seemed to advance quite quickly doing them. I primarily used the mine south-east of Varrock. I dont know if you'll remember, but it used to be more open, and i would take the trip from the mine to the falador furnace, and up to the varrock anvils a few times an hour, making little money, but I was happy of my achievement. I bought myself a sword, and some basic armour to protect myself.

After a while, I hit 15 mining. Im not sure why, but i seem to remember being in the scorpion pit mining the iron at the end when i got this. I remember two rune respawns in rs classic that were in the scorpion mine, and i used to pick these up to get a little extra profit.

Within a month or two, I had reached surpassed both my friends who I worked alongside, in mining and smithing, anyway. I started mining and smithing iron weapons and helms, and after a while, i hit my first 1000gp.

After this, i started trading weapons and armour, and I used to make a trip round the Barbarian Village, Al Kharid and Varrock to buy full Mith armour, to then go on and sell in Varrock Square, gaining 2k profit each time. After a while, though, the RS economy changed somewhat, and this business was no longer profitable. So I started going mining and smithing again, and I steadily got more and more money.

Hacked!

After about 10 weeks of playing, I was, unfortunately hacked. Someone found my pass, and I lost full black armour, mith long, addy battle axe, a few other things. I seem to remember working out the total cost of things lost at 50k. That may not seem much any more, but it was a lot to me then.

Fortunately, one of my friends gave me a cut ruby of his to sell and help me get back on my feet. I bought a Steel Pick, and started mining again, and soon got enough money to get me some more of my stuff back again.

Into RS2

I fell into inactivity after a while, but kept checking the website again, because just after i had started, news came that Jagex were releasing RS2 soon. I got bored of runescape 1, and started playing some other games for a while, particularly Final Fantasy X. Then RS2 Beta was released. I was never a member, and so originally couldnt play it, but i started playing RS1 again, waiting patiently for the non-members beta of RS2 to be released, and it was. So I started playing on there for a while, got full mith armour, hated the look of it in RS2, and so decided to become a mage.

After about three months, I started doing some more quests. I looked around for various help sites, and I found tip.it. I started being a regular poster on the forums, and after about 6 months on there, decided to delve into the world of clans.

My clan times

At only level 38 combat, it was a bit difficult to get a clan started. But I planned for a while, read Blizz's guide on how to make a clan on tip.it, and make K.A.O.S clan. The first few days went quite well. A few people joined, and a forum was set up on proboards (that was a bad idea, but i didnt know about invisionfree then). Within two months, KAOS had a memberbase of 70 people, unfortunately only about 20-30 of them were active, but I was quite proud of it.

The some troubles arose. The clan started slipping further and futher into inactivity, and so instead of kicking all the members who were inactive, like I should have done, I decided to make a new clan. I invited the best and most active of KAOS to join me in a new clan called The Last Elixir (that is spelt right you silly americans), but its destiny was not to be. The clan died after just a few weeks.

But i would not give up. Two people from L.E and one from one of LE's enemy clans were still friendly with me, and so i decided to make a new clan. The Guild was formed on the 29th of January 2006, and for a few months, Sausagedude and I were leaders of it. We decided to step down after a while, but it truly was a great clan. I managed to get my combat from 39 to 56, and got my skill total from somewhere in the 300s to somewhere in the high 600s. Two people applied to join The Guild on the first day of recruitment. Within 2 weeks, there were more, and the clan kept growing, until we got a memberbase of around 30 good, active members.

We decided to grow outwards, advertising in as many places as possible, and thats how i found RSBandB. I primarily used it for advertising the clan, although sometimes looked through some of the topics. I found other forums, too, but none of them seemed to be as friendly as RSBandB.

55 Mining, a Rune Pick, and a Dead Dragon

I dont know why, but this seemed like one of my greatest achievements. As i have said, when i started, i seemed to take an instant liking to mining and smithing more than any other skill. One day i set out to mine five thousand rune essence, and I did it. Starting with a mining level of 53 and an Adamant Pick, I went back and forward for 13 hours straight, mining rune essence, and I came out, having bought a Rune Pick about 2 hours in, a mining level of 55, and 150,000gp's worth of Rune Essence. I sold it all within 30 minutes. I know that doesnt seem like much, but those were the prices then, and i was lucky to get even that.

The next achievement i was most proud of was killing the dragon in the dragon slayer quest. I know many of you probably found this very easy, but most people i have talked to did it around level 60 combat. I completed it al level 44, using Fire Bolt, seven lobsters, and some robes for protection.

Inactivity...

Around early April 2005, i decided to resign from leadership, as did my good friend sausagedude. I became a developer for the clan, putting my knowledge of HTML and graphics into use for everyone there. I soon learnt XHTML, CSS and some PHP scripting too, and the clan was renamed TempusVorteX.

So many events and PK trips happened with TV clan, i cant remember how many, but it really felt good to be in a clan, rather than just a lone player.

I decided i would stop playing runescape somewhat and concentrate more on the coding for the clan. I still play, sometimes, but not very often. I do a lot of coding now for the clan i founded, and help them along the way all i can. It's been a rough ride in places.

And thats my RuneScape History.

26th may - added "55 Mining, a Rune Pick, and a Dead Dragon")

It just seemed more logical to split my history into sections. Some, in terms of time, are actually really short, some are longer. "My Clan Times" spans about 8 months, whereas "Hacked" is about 2 days long.

I probably could make it longer, but i really cant think of anything. Im sure i will soon. Its 1200 words long at the moment.

I'd like to see creepy's history.

How nice. An opportunity to talk about my favorite subject: Me!

I first found out about Runescape when I noticed some kids playing it at school. It looked fun but I didn't try it until some time afterward. I started the account Melanie256 in early November of 2003. I played the free game for about a month before upgrading to members.

I had a fun time exploring the member areas, skills and quests. I also gave the RS2 beta a try. It looked quite impressive compared to the graphics of the time, though I still mainly used what is now called classic.

A little while after RS2 was released I killed a skeleton and it dropped a sapphire. At the time I really liked gems because I hadn't been getting very many from mining. It was with that drop that I realised what I like to do: Collect treasure. I looked at fansites to see which monsters dropped what I liked to get. I was overjoyed when Treasure Trails were released and set out to find these caches. When slayer came out I had a blast and was killing monsters almost constantly. I now have level 80 slayer and am working on a nechryael assignment as I'm writing this post. I also loved Mort'ton shade burning and the Barrows. I've sold two sets of full splitbark and received quite a few pieces of that fine level 70 equipment from the tombs, including all four of Ahrim's items.

I met a few people here and there. Most of them were just less experienced players with loads of questions, though there was one guy that I actually hung out with from time to time, and also helped with quests. He helped me to learn that if you're gonna give quest help it should be all verbal.

I have joined a few clans. Most of them had fatal organizational failures and died, though I did resign from one because it turned out not to be my kind of clan. My current clan, Oak Island Pirates, provides more incentive to stay and I think I will.

Writing Contest!

Ok Hayaemsay was born on the 30 September 04. I started off with basically nothing, and i just travered F2P watching and Learning. My first armour set consisted of black plate and legs, iron helm and a Ghost Speak amulet, as well as a trusty black cape.at lv 40 i got full mith including a Scimitar and a Kite! (ub3r rare). i went around for awhile, getting up my Combat.

I made money Selling Big bones, and this was the day i was scammed, of 18k. was heart broken and decided I never wanted to play again (again=half an hour). Addictive as this game is, i was back ontop of my fear again.

Then the day came when i finally became a Member.... I loved Members alot! and by this time i had surpassed all my friends ni everything who had been playing about 2 months longer than me, i have alot of Spare time. I spent alot of time in members just making bowstrings and getting a meager 50k per day.

This is a Major Turning Point in the Story.

I got a clue-scroll from a Falador Guard, I eagerly followed the path, to what ever lay at the end. I ended up at the Top of Baxatorian falls looking across the Waterfall. I dig and open the Casket, and look at it. A red page and some chaos runes and a yew bow. I checked up Torn page (z) 2 on RuneHQ and to my delight i saw the Price Tag. 200k! i Trundled off to world 2, to sell my Savior. I sold it within 5 minutes, and within 10 minutes i had Full Rune, with a Kite. My first ever set (i still have the plate and legs).

I spent my Days getting up the Skills i loved, Thieving and Agility. I had just got 40 agility, and I was enjoying the Delights of the Agility Arena in Brimhaven. I met a lv 82, who asked me to add him, I complied (danger ahead). We knew each other for about 5 days, and he asked me to add him on MSN. He directed me to a so called, Stats Changer. I downloaded it blindly, then Norton blocked it. Anyway to cut to the chase, he tried to get me to download a Key Logger.... We are still good friends now, and he is the Reason I am where I am. His Account was banned about a month ago for saying RuneHQ.

While competing with my friends to get to lv 70, i got a Second Clue-Scroll. I knew these were rare and i followed the Trail and i ended up near the Nature Temple. I dug and too my delight i got a Pair of rangers, (ive Had 3 others since this) I sold these staight away for 550k, i felt myself coming more rich and Powerful, soon i knew i would be among the top 5000 (i wish).

A month after Cws was released, which was when i started playing, I saw a mage using Saradomin Strike on another playing and smashing him to bits. My mind set, i bought 200 bloods from the Zamorak Mage and headed to 55 wild. I got there no trouble and defeated Kolodion with ease. Then i went to Charge my Staff, i was attackd by a Pker, i put on Item Protect and Drank Food and Prayer pots. I eventually died. I lost 198 bloods and my airs and fires, my heart was broken, i thought that you kept stackable items when you died (this was the First time ever-at lv 75).

I started doing alot of quests, I did Regicide, Monkey Madness, Freminik Trials and a ton other and only getting 2 cbt levels. I hit lv 80 and I Completed Legends quest, shortly followed by Desert Treasure at lv 81.

Lv 89 Mournings End Part 2 was released, a Week later i emerged Victorious Clutching the Crystal. and then realised the reward is pretty damm Crappy. I got total lv 1350 that day.

lv 92, had been working Majorly on my Stats and i had hit 1400 the day Recipe for Disaster was realeased. 2 days later i was running around with barrows gloves. Hitting 1 higher than Before. I felt ontop of the World, which I was. Considering it took me 5 hours, no guide, no help from other players to complete what was supposed to be one of the Hardest Quests in the Game.

lv 98, I now spend my time working on Skills, im going for total lv 1500 before i get 100 combat. You can usually find me Thieving North of the Silver Stall with Chozo, world 115. f not there, then try Rogues Den or any of the Allotment farming Patches.

Legend to the End

4 years ago cant remember much from the beginning :(

Before this character I did have a lvl 33 which got hacked so i started a new one.
This was around 4+ years ago now. I honestly really can't remember how i was making money in my first few days but i did do a fair bit of fishing so i guess that was it. In my noob days I thought the npc Man was an actual person  After some fights with him in game i remember saying "lets stop fighting each other"
My first death was to highway man, at that time he was preety strong, especially with the 3 round rule of them days it was hard to escape, I soon died and avoided going to draynor for a number of weeks.

When i reached lvl 30ish I thought I had the best armour and weapon in the game, addy, so I went pking and got 3 hit  Then i had to make money all over again :(
Despite dissapointment continued to make cash and train until the rsc days were over, i finished rsc on 68 combat. I met many friends in rsc and some still remain even till today.

As the early days of the new rs began my combat was raised due to the combat system to around 71 I think. For the next months I trained and did skills etc etc. When I reached lvl 90 i was preety happy :) and stopped training for a while because at that time i found training hard :(.

After reaching 90cb I was urged to train to 95 to join a clan that my friends recommened, I raised my combat to 95 ( i think it was 95 reqs at the time) to join rune raiders. At around this time i also got members for the first time, i got members at a 997 skill total, i really should have got 1k skill total before becoming a member but never mind.

Since then Clans have dominated my rs life, I made money during the week to pay for the rune sets on a weekend. I never wanted to be one of them people that said I cant afford rune to pk so this is when i got 85 mining, probably my best achievement. With money coming in easier now I was able to train my combat more, reaching 100cb, which at that time was I thought yay :). I loved being in rune raiders but i left after 8 months I think.
After a few weeks of being clanless I really felt what it was like to be without a clan and I was preety desperate to get back in one, so i joined fear for a month or so, didnt stay there long ( no offence or anything ) I rejoined rune raiders for a few more months until I left again.
At this time i was at 113 combat ish, I joined creepys clan dark forces which was fun while it lasted.

Now im 115cb and looking for a clan, i have some in mind and im hoping il be in one sooner rather than later. I do a fair bit of rune mining to boost other skills up, im doing cooking now trying to get 90.

cant think of anything else, i have a short memory

I began september, 2,004. I was confused and lost the first 2 weeks...Asking why I couldn't put on goblin mail...

Then, on Christmas 2,004, I became a member. I went to play castle wars, got killed in seconds. Then, on new years, I saved up and bought full rune with chainbody.

About a month later, i did dragonslayer. I did die once, though, when I forgot to wield my DF shield

Next thing was 60 attack, lost city, and dragon longsword.

After that, I got up skills to do heros quest.

Then, Monkey Madness.

Around September, 2,005, I began to runecraft.

October, I began to fish and cook.

Then, I began to make natures and bought a dragon medium helm (Still have that same helmet)

And then Legends.

Then a whip.

And dragon platelegs.

Then, I sold the whip, and bought a dragon square shield.

Then, my brother erm... Wanted to borrow 5.5m to buy his green mask. So, I sold the legs and shield.

Bought a zamorak platebody later.

Became non member, and got woodcutting and runecrafting up a bit.

Became a member, bought a whip.

Sold the whip and bought dragon plate legs and shield.

Made soem more natures.

Bought black\red mystic platebody.

The end!!!!!!!

I don't...totally remember everything but i'll try.

2005 May.

I was browsing Miniclip and I saw that RuneScape was on the #1 played game list. I was curious so I started it up. It loaded and I started my one and only main, Snowfox144 (Snowfox being my middle name in English and 144 being part of my email, it's easy for me to remember). I started out in tutorial island and was instantly amazed with the graphics and the game style. It was just a normal internet game. Still today I think it's an amazing game. I got through tutorial island in about 30 minutes I think (I ran through it in about 10 when I started my pure  ). The first thing I did when I got to Lumbridge was attack a man and died  . I got my stuff back though...lol. Somehow I'm not sure, I started mining. Mining...Mining...sooo much mining. I was level 54 mining even before I got to 30 combat. I trained combat on and off. After my mining obbsession, I decided to train smithing. I had about 100k'ish because I never smithed my ores. I had sold all my Coal. To this day that surprises me. I had 100k at level 30 :? I started smithing (mining my own ore) and got to around 56-57 mining. Then I hit the level where I could make full bronze armor. I was so proud of myself. I was a knight! (Thats what I called them) So I strutted around and watched all the noobs withought armor...lol. Thats about the time I got bored and quit for a while. About a month later my friend Sk8r Forevr sent me a message on MSN saying that I have to check out this game. I was like ok. I clicked the link and found out it was RuneScape. I logged in and added him. He was level 10 I think. I found him and he was like "Holy ****, your level 30!" I was laughing and I told him I had been playing for about a month. So from those days forward we randomly trained. I got him obbsessed with mining and he basically did what I did from the mining perspective. Soon his smithing level surpassed mine and he smithed me full Iron. I remember us walking around and me saying "We look so cool =)" Lol. I was almost level 40 then. From there I jumped to full Adament armor at level 43. I basically trained a few non-combat skills from there. Then I started saving up for full rune. I mined Coal. More coal...so much coal. It was killing me. I got to level 60 mining and I rejoiced because of all the Coal ore in the Mining Guild. I got enough money to buy the kite and the legs very soon. I bought the kite and then someone scammed me out of the rune legs. I was so po'd because the price of rune legs were 60-70k then. So I had to mine MORE coal. Yeehaw. Finally I got my rune legs and got the rune plate and I got Sk8r to come to a little ceremony in-game. I was so excited. I clicked the rune plate and saw: "You do not have the priveldges to wear this yet. You must finish the Dragon Slayer quest." I screamed out BULL**** and Sk8r freaked out. Lol. I went on my quest to get the levels for Dragon Slayer, knowing that I'd hate it. That was a task of it's own. Finally I started the quest and finished most of it with ease except for the final part where I came 6 lobsters to dying. I was scared cuz I had my rune. But I finished it and the XP I got from it got me to level 56 I think. FINALLY I got to have my little Rune Platebody party :). Sk8r was around the same level as me and finished it soon later. Thats also about the time he became a member. I remember him coming to me in full Initiate and I was amazed. I kept training till level 60ish. Then my parents got me a debit card :D Happiest day of my life (well...not really). First thing I did was join members. I was so amazed at member world. It was so big and there was so much to do. All I did was train combat for a while. Then I started to work on my range and mage a little more. I started the Slayer skill and the Agility and Thieving skills too. I was about level 80 soon after and I was at the duel arena.

Ill finish this l8r.

Thief121212

He was born somewhere in Mid-October, just around my birthday. Yeah, I started playing around 14 but technically I've only been playing for about a year and seven months.

When Thief121212 was born I never really played the game alot. It was always a rare on-and-off kind of thing to me at that time. I didn't get my laptop until a few months after I started to play RuneScape. Whereas, I got gradually more addicted to RuneScape.

It went in kind of a scale. I played very little in the beginning, played very much when I got my laptop, and now, I play very little because real-life just takes up alot of time.

Anways, on with the story.

Thief121212 began as a regular newby, just as any other level 3. He didn't do alot. He was still adapting to the gameplay mechanics, finding areas, and doing quests. I didn't take fancies to any skills in general. I would say my ranging was rather fun until I found out melee combat was the most powerful in the game. I became a warrior, and a much failure of a ranger only until way later on in my game play.

I became a member somewhere in my mid 50's combat. I finished Dragon Slayer, and all F2P quests, and life began anew.

Fishing.

Fishing was a major part of my game-life. I fished alot. ALOT. I found out that there was money to be made selling swordfish, so I did so for cash, selling them to PK'ers and such. To my own I was able to get to 76 Fishing, and I began fishing Sharks for masses of gold. Till around 79, it got old. I quit fishing, and began to look for something new.

While I was selling the last loads of sharks I had, I overheard some conversation saying that 70 Fletching, was by far the best cash in the game. Seeing as how I had 49 Fletching at the time, I wasn't far off.

Woodcutting.

I cut willows. I made arrows. I did as much as I could to get fletching levels. I managed to 55 and I cut maples, which I realized ages later, it was a stupid mistake. Wasted a full month working, fletching maples, to 65. I cut yews, and I got a bit of a head-start. I had 69 Woodcutting by the time I finished all those maples. And I got started on my way.

5 months, it took me 5 months, to cut yews, make strings, mine essence, fletch yews into bows, and string them all together. From 65-85, Over 3 million experience in that time. I didn't manage to gain alot of items out of it, but I did manage in alot of skills. Crafting to 65, Runecrafting to 58, Woodcutting to 86, Magic to 80, and a load of other things I did.

I quit Fletching because it was just a waste. Everyone can do it, and it requires no skill to do whatsoever. I wasted my months doing what people can do in days. I quit Fletching until I got patience for it.

Dark Ages.

These were my clan ages. I joined clans around this time, and found out all clans are just a bunch of morons with no discipline whatsoever - and who can't type. Bleh, I hated them.

Slayer was one of my favourite things to do. I worked on a few months to get 70 Slayer. Worked out well all in the end.

Barrows was another one of my things to do. I got a Guthan Chainskirt, and I kept a full Karil's set. Everything else I sold. (Sadly enough I sold my Guthan Plate because I was poor..)

Didn't really do much else. Trained combat, worked in general skills, didn't really make money. More or less, blew it off.

Big 7.

I discovered that there were only 7 skills I liked now. Ranging, Magic, Woodcutting, Firemaking, Runecrafting, Slayer, and Farming. Till this day I'm still doing what it takes to train those skills. I'm still trying to fund cash for other projects in the meantime, but it's still going so very slow.

End.

That's it.

well, this will be short..........

My friend (a member) told me about runescape during spring break of 2006, well i decided to check it out that sunday, 4/16 (easter), and i went through tutorial island just like everyone else, when i got to the mainland, i started shotting men with my bow right away, well that got boring when i got to lvl 5 combat and ranging (and also 2 prayer from burying thier bones). Next i decided to try various skills until i settled on fishing and cooking. I got those to 32 and 38 and then it happened..... i was vicously scammed by giving almost 450k worth of stuff and cash (friend that told me about it gave me 300k when i started) for full studded (g)!!! well then i tryed to trade 4 diamond rings for a rune ax. well Dknifton2004 (dragon member on rsbandb) gave me the rune ax for 4 diamond rings and she also gave me many k of various elemental runes and 5k iron arrows =). After that i started woodcutting becasue i heard it made good money. Well while i was cutting willows one morning and i got a frog token, then 18 minutes later i got another lol. I chopped willows in rimmington for wc 30-50, cutting then selling to gs. Then i chopped in draynor 50-70. Now i have 75 woodcutting and am currently on a goal for a santa.

Well, thats it, but ive only have been playing for 1 month 14 days.

Spartan, your like an Accidental Skill Pure, what most people do when the first start is just get up combat, nothing else.
