Random pm's - *UPDATED* PLEASE READ FOR ACCOUNTS SAFETY

Recently we've been having a member using a proxies creating multiple accounts here.

Myself and Brad have been banning the guy on and off today (while I'm trying to do important work for the record thanks Mr jerk ) and it's just been brought to my attention that he's now resorted to PMing our members the topic with the dangerous links. Just to be a bigger pain. -.-'

This topic has now been made to warn you not to click these links and to REPORT the person with a copy of the message to a moderator or just post it on this topic. If you've already received one and have clicked the link i advise you to run a virus checker and make sure your PC is clean.

For now he's been banned but he keeps coming back on a proxies. So keep an eye out.

Right I've now got word that emails are being sent out to rsbandb members posing as jagex staff. I'm going to remind you all now JAGEX WILL *NEVER* EMAIL YOU.

DO NOT open these emails, delete them right away. If you are truly worried i suggest you remove your email and any other contact info from your profile for the time being.

We're extremely sorry about this. Oh and for the record, no idea if it's the same guy or not. Without an ip addy (if anyone can get that it'd be super ) we can't know.

To be honest, no one has a reason to pm you. If you get a pm of a member don't worry about it - just don't click any links.

So far it's been fairly obvious he's trying to scam so you'll know it. Basically if you feel it's fishy forward it on. No mods going to get angry over a pm you're just being cautious and protecting your account.

We'll look into any reports and get back to you it's what we're here for.

As said above, he's using a proxy and thus you can't do anything to him since all they have is the proxy address.

I didn't mean a report using the button. As in a pm to a mod, reporting it to us. Posting it on here. Whatever.

You'll get a faster response pming a mod who's online at the time.

If we would pm a mod some noob would pm us, mods pm boxes would be full
