Carpentry (Construction) Coming out soon... JUICY DETAILS!!

This image was leaked from the RS website showing a skill pic for "construction" possibly the long awaited carpentry update coming out for RS.

Ever wonder why they are going to have an update where you can sit in chairs later this month?

and yet there is more...

If you go upstairs of the Falador furnace and talk with the Apprentice Workman, he will tell you they have a collossal order of new furnature coming from Varrock and that it has to be redecorated. This could possibly be the quest you have to complete in order to get the construction skill, like what you had to do with runecrafting. This quest would probably involve making furnature for the workman. (There is another post about this workman in another section on the site if you want to read more about it...)

and then, in Swan Song, you make iron sheets out of iron bars to make the wall, and this couls possibly also be used in the construction skill.

If you guys happen to find any other pics from the RS website that aren't made public yet, please post them here, and we can try and create a lwealth of information relating to this skill, and possibly find out more about it. I am pretty sure that it will be called construction though when it comes out because that is what the graphic is named, and the other skill graphics are named after what the skills are called too.

And now you can collect mahogany and teak from the new quest in miscellania which are types of wood that will probably be used to build things.

You DO know it's just gonna be a giant let-down..

I'm not looking foward to this skill. I'd rather be doing skills than building a friggin' coffee table or something stupid like that. What a great waste of time they're coming out with.

Ok i saw the post and i was left open mouthed, I just expected it to be another lame thing (sorry chewy nothing against you)

Anyway after looking through the skills category i tried the next skill after the last one (thieving in KB). And i found this. I thought that as soon as i go to the next number up i would get the same thing but, it comes up with combat. Jagex may have been preparing this along time ago.

This coming from an rsbandb judge is indeed something interesting. And after carpentry will come ... what? We've got Malignus and his bone seeds, headless ghosts that follow you, imp being summoned from the wizards tower ... take a wild guess.

But yeah, player-owned houses, bigger banks ... maybe even 'build-your-own-bank' (Something like farming's spirit trees - very high level and can only do it for one out of so many areas [Entrana, ladies and gentlemen?]). I enjoyed farming because of its herblore-giving things and ... praise the ever-lovely energy-restore and hits-healing papayas for after the agility arena. Carpentry might become relative to woodcutting and fletching, as the other newer skills are based upon others (slayer: based on combat - runecrafting: based on magic).

It'll be good. Just say that to yourself 10 times. It will be good. And chances are, it will.

Better save that to your comps before Jagex finds ot it was leaked! They have done that before.

The fact sitting on chairs is a preperation for carpentry must show how lame it's going to be.

I'd rather jagex made a skill that was going to be usefull rather than catering for every 'PMG I WANNA HOUSE NHORSEY11!' person in the world.

Although two odd years ago (yea they did promise it that long ago :roll:

) they did say you'd be able to have your own shop....that would interest me a lot because i dislike selling stuff.

I'm looking forward to Carpentry.

Why? Because when they release it, it will be totally new to everyone. Nobody knows what exactly your going to be able to do or build. The only "release" is a chair. So right now I'm collected regular logs-magic logs, planks, iron bar/ore, and tiles. Because those would almost be the most used things. The only things I'll need to buy would be all the new supplies they are going to make for the skill. So take it into consideration to whoever said "Its going to be another stupid skill". Farming was stupid I dont think Carpentry is going to be. :wink:
