border tut

ok, sorry if some1 already did this but this is the easiest 1px border tut in the world...

when there change it to Overlay

Congratulations! You have a brand new styling border!!

here is a result i got using an old blue background i had:

Didn't really change too much. Mostly just capital letters. XD
Oh and by the way -
Boarder = A person who is boarding.
Border = Some sort of frame. (The one used in this instance) :wink:

nice tut, the problem is it works with only 1 program, lol. Someone using GIMP or fireworks would be lost

well, not 1 program exactly...

it works for all photoshop programs (cs2, 7, ect) because photoshop is the program most graphics designers use.

Umm... I use gimp and i got totally lost, whick proves de4thm4ge411's point

Uhh with GIMP you don't even have to do all those things. Just Select All>Shrink by 1 px>Invert Selection>Fill with White.

Just be sure to do it on a seperate layer, then put that layer on Value or Overlay.

In any case, it's an okay border tutorial for beginners, but it's just too basic.
