it was tough with the shapes to get it to look good, but there you have it.
one side is a never ending swirly hole
the other side is reaching out of a void to strangle you.
or thats what i see. lol

Well I understand why you have that opinion, it's just not really my kind of art I guess. Still an excellent concept though, just not my style. :wink:

Its way to easy to make. Just gotta make one side then duplicate the image and flip it and finally add difference. And BAM its done not to great dude

That wasn't the tricky part, the render was. Of course it is easy to duplicate and flip, I just did that so that people could see the inverted and the original because they both looked pretty cool.
If it is so easy to render something like that, then lets see you do it.

There's no need for you to be hostile when people tell you what they think of your art. Some people will like it, some won't. You can either take their criticism for what it's worth or not post your artwork.

Rendering something like that in 3dsm would take a while, but it isnt exactly hard. Much like in illustrator, you can use a sort of pen tool to outline certain shapes then extrude to create a "3D effect" which unfortunately,. hasnt happened in this peice.

I'm not going to waste my time criticizing this, as you've made it very clear that anything other than "thats cool" isn't welcome.

I don't feel Rafe is being overly unaccepting of comments. I do believe that others are being uninformative and forebearing in their comments.

If you are going to comment post more than just "not one of your best," especially not if you're going to be over-critical with little knowledge of the medium. Give examples on what he can improve rather than minute posts that are only there to belittle.

Hmm well, its ok, in my personal opinion it doesn't appeal to me.. On a 100% view of the picture, i see many places where the shapes are choppy along the edges. However most of it looks smooth.

I cant rate it really because it just doesn't appeal to me.

I see your point, Poison. But when you're making something in a programme that virtually no one uses on RSBANDB, you need to realise that you don't have the advantage of getting detailed advice on how to improve. You get opinions on your art based on how it looks. Since he didn't ASK for elite criticism on his art, he didn't get it. And if he did ask for criticism? He'd still have gotten vague suggestions.

The fact is, when people tell you that something 'isn't your best' and you disagree because apparently they don't understand the work you put into it..shouldn't you post it where you can get more advanced con/crit rather than posting in a Runscape forum where most people just make sigs and such?
